i think it hurt his feeling actually. He did not expect us to actually look for the lacking info off the official sites. Its not personal to him , at least from me, but you cant ignore the lack of comms here and think the problem will go away . eventually the pro nge guys WILL reach that magic point where waiting any longer is stupid , and slowly turn against SOE as well . This is the pattern - promise something - fail to deliver - promise again and this time really really mean it - fail to deliver- more carrot , less stick.
the cycle has to end somewhere either the management ends it by coming thru or the players end it by turning agsint the management. Which do you think has happened ?
Well the problem here is that if you don't want anyone to read it or are going to be embarressed by what you wrote, the simple solution is not to write it in the first place. It shows that he has continually taken the time to post on his blog, almost daily, but yet in 3 years hasn't found the time to post more than 345 posts on these official boards. That's a bit out of whack I think.

lol,nah they will just lock your thread for trolling
JFreeman wrote: I don't speak about SWG on my blog. I may speak about game design in general, or high level design concept sorts of things that aren't appropriate for discussion here. But to speak about SWG specifically: well I'd do that on these forums.
Certainly when I was a younger man, I was willing to devote a great deal of time to mastering arcane rules just to be able to play a game. But those days are long gone. SWG needed to be a lot more accessible. It also needed to be a lot more maintainable.
SWG needs depth and complexity too, but it can't be the thing that greets new players at the door. That complexity needs to be built on a solid foundation; and the game itself needed to be easier to get into and more directed.
Think nothing of it Jeff just know that we find a comically and INCREDIBLE irony about the whole post vs this PO...game

LOL, we can switch to Plato and Socrates if you want....then we'll throw some SWG in subliminally.

They might ban you for trolling and being unconstructive.

Sounds like a plan. Now where is the solid foundation?
Scary Master of too many to list besides by the time you read this there'd be another to add to the list anyway.

It would go a long way with the customer base if you did. Suits be damned...I don't see them coming in here often...smed! julio!

I wouldn't post on here either if I was a DEV....it's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation.
i guess thats why you hire CSR's - so you can communicate beyween the two without exposure.

What about a non-philosophical one?? More than enough hard questions in this thread to answer already.
--- Proud Member of the "small but vocal minority" --- All that was ever needed to fix the basics of pre-CU combat system:
1. Hard-cap armor at 60%. 2. Make mind healable. 3. Hard-cap Doc Buffs at additional 125% to your basic stats (like entertainer buffs). 4. Apply the 75% damage reduction in PvP to DoTs as well.

They'd take it as you stepping on their turf. It's easy to get frustrated and label you guys - "the devs" - as evil incarnate around all this, but really the gaming industry is so political, it's just the same as the government where it's easier to blame the President than 535 people in Congress.

That may be, but if you and other devs where more willing to post (as we are hungry for communication), you would find the ill will of the current players would subside greatly. To be honest, I have been surprised with the explosion of dev post over the last 3 days or so, but I will be sad when it dies (and it will). If it is true that pub 27 is turning point, then let me say that it was lack of viable communication that brought us to the current state of things. Don't repeat these mistakes.

The community is going to poke you in the eye if you don't.
