I've got the Saitek Cyborg USB 3D gold....
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I've yet to have an issue with fading sensitivity...and I'm pretty rough on them. (Commanche 4 anyone?) I've had it about a year now, and no skips or glitches yet......of course after this glowing review, I'll have to go buy a new one.......lol

What do you think of the lever throttle? Thinking of getting one of these, because as far as I can tell looking at the descriptions on saitek's website, the cyborg evo does not have a throttle, and the X45 just looks like waaaay too much stuff to have on my desk.

The Cyborg EVO does have a throttle, the base around the botton looks likes its split in 3 pieces, that middle piece is the throttle. So it would be directly under your control hand, an ucomfortable spot for me.

In this case I would recommend the Saitek Cyborg Evo, it is interchangeable to right/left handers and has a throttle built in the base as well.

Excellent thread - ive just bought a CH Fighterstick USB, its a very good stick but seems pretty hard to get one in the uk - i had to order online from a pilots shop!

It also looks like its from the 1970's/80's - just like the falcon's controls did!

yes that was a good stuck. Unfortunately Microsoft backed out of the PC hardware making business and that stick is sitting on a cloud playing a harp in hardware heaven. Only places i have found it were used sticks on Ebay. To my knowledge it cannot even be special ordered so this stick is offically off the market.

Same here. With the exception I bought it.

I got (finally, after 3 years !) Freespace 2 earlier this week and when I tried to plug my old joystick in, I realized I don't have Gameport anymore. So I checked my wallet and went to buy this joystick.

I can tell you - it's awesome! Although it does not have FF, it finds into hand perfectly, the buttons are easily accesible and the software is awesome. You can even customize HAT... I've set targeting onto it and I am slowly getting my space sim reflexes back with Freespace 2.

I can only reccomend that stick. 12 buttons, with one as SHIFT it reaches 22. HAT that can be customized too and awesome software allowing you to create custom profiles for your games. LOGITECH RULEZ!

Yes i own this stick myself and i highly suggest anyone in the market for a new stick to pick this one up. 12 programabable buttons, good sturdy base, easy throttle access and it feels very good. Software is simple and  it is actually the stick devs used when showcasing JTL. I want to give personal testimony on how well it works for JTL but that pesky NDA is hovering over me, lol. I highly recommend it. It's a musy buy.
