Basilisk PvP Event - The Grip of the Empire







When: Wednesday May 22, 2019

Where: Basilisk Server - Moenia, Naboo

• Rebel Base & Cloning Facility: 5044 -4443
• Imperial Base & Cloning Facility: 4506 -4610

The Empire has been pressing forward and attempting to gain advantageous planetary control points in order to keep the upper hand in the Galactic Civil War. The Rebel Alliance has gone into hiding and comms have been silent.

Loyalists to the Galactic Empire were able to obtain information hinting at the possibility of Rebel forces hiding in the swamps near Moenia, Naboo. Without a moment's thought the Sector Commander deployed all available garrisons to take them out, taking no chance on losing a planet or even part of a planet, especially one so oddly important to Lord Vader and the Emperor.




Event Description:

The goal is to capture the City of Moenia and takeover the opposing factions' base, while keeping your own Factions' base secure.

Each Faction will have their own protected cloning facilities with Buff Terminals to prevent clone camping.

The Faction that is able to successfully hold all three locations at the end of the 1.5 hour timer will be deemed victorious.

totally agree its on at 8am my time... is their a EU/AU player on staff for early morning US events? 6PM-8PM EDT is prob a good time for most Americans i'd think.

6PM eastern is 5 PM Central, 4PM Mountain, 3 PM Pacific Noon Hawaii

London 11 PM
Paris 12 AM
Berlin 1 AM
Moscow 3 AM

This tells you how geographically spread out the player base is. That's 15 timezones and doesn't go as far as to include the Aussies and Kiwis.

I can personally relate.

In 8 years I've lived in / played fro US Central (GMT-6) to Singapore (GMT+8) to the Britain (GMT), adjusting for seasons.

It's good to see the Staff spreading out the event times so they're accessible for people across ALL those time zones.

And we definitely have people from Italy, Austria, Norway and the Netherlands who may like to join in even though it will be 1AM for them.

Thanks for considering everyone everywhere as you balance out these event times.

Here's an idea, how about adding a 50% damage reduction to any weapon with (exceptional) in the title it dropped with during the event!

If you have that way of thinking about events your never gonna have fun ,exceptional weapons are not the strongest on server , WS had time to get the good stuff to make awesome weapons.
I have no Jedi nor any of these awesome weapons but Im still gonna be present and do what i can + have awesome animals to put in the fight to assist our allied troops , also have a PvP toon that has decent ranged weapons that can also help, Both these toons are Base busting specialists so I know I will take active part.
the glowbats will fly around my head while i put the terminals in overload ,Ahsoka can tear down to shreds any ATSTs that can be pulled.
theres many ways you can help your team just think like MacGyver lol, heck id be there even if i had to trow rocks on the opposite team
