I second akh124 on the first page. I hope we won't lose our names on the servers we want to play on because of trying to create a character today. I vote for a wipe if it'll get our names out of limbo and help clean up server probs *shrug*. As for the rest, good-luck

The reason the devs are not responding to the negative posts is because there's obviously nothing they can say to appease you apart from what they already have. If they don't have an ETA, would you prefer them to make one up only to disappoint you further when it doesn't materialize? And I challenge you to produce any post from the developers that blames "unforeseen traffic" on the problems. As Holo already pointed out, when they ramped up their "dark servers" it did not alleviate the registration problem whatsoever, which it would have done if heavy traffic were the problem. And the server problem is due to an as-of-unyet-discovered bug in the Oracle DB software running the central server that all the galaxies' DBs run from.
We're all pissed and frustrated, but imagine what the devs are going through. You can say "yeah but I spent $50-$80 on this game"...but the fact is your measly $50-$80 is NOTHING compared to the years of love & sacrifice the devs have put into this product in anticipation of this day. They were as excited and as looking forward to it's successful launch as you are, TIMES A MILLION. No one is more pissed than they are. At least you don't have an entire nation of demanding Star Wars zealots screaming at you while you try to fix the problems. Please back off and let them do their jobs without all the negative energy that only aggravates the situation. Please!

man.. i can't believe people are still complaining! get over it! The devs, and all others who worked on this project have tried their hardest to make it the best they can! yea, they ran into a few problems, but is that their fault? no... so stop whining!
We apologize for the inconvienence, but we have found a serious problem with our database that is being worked on as we speak. We expect to have most of our servers back online sometime in the early morning West Coast time on Friday.. Our best estimate is 8:00am Pacific time... but we will update this time as we get better estimates.
guess we just gonna have to wait till the morning =(
