Very interesting question.  I have a char that has declared it's residence and has the home info in her profile but others still say wanderer.

We know that just mastering professions isn't a key but mastering the right professions is.

Maybe you have to place your house on the "right" planet.

I also don't think the badges are it because they weren't in the game from the get go while the slot was obtainable.

In the latest interview;

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Haden Blackman: We knew that it would take at least three months for the first players to unlock their Force Sensitive character slots

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hrmmm why is that?   Let's see if this relates to anything else they posted.

____________________________________________________________________

"Do you define maxing out as having spent all your skill boxes? Well, that doesn’t include Jedihood, and it doesn’t include the other 9/10ths of the game. Let’s assume you mean 'time to max out a single character, spending all skill points and achieving an elite profession.' .... We’re looking for around 3 months there. Of course, if you want to REALLY max out and cover all the ground in the game, you’re talking about ten times that."

**emphasis mine**

Just curious, are you still able to do the FIRST ACT badge quests? If not, If someone was to buy the game tomorrow, how would they become a Jedi?

Its been pretty much ruled out that badges are the key to the FS slot. However, if they ARE part of it and the key is randomly generated, perhaps a character created after a certain date will never have that particular badge as a requirement since it is unattainable. Just a thought.

It's quite amusing that anyone can be jedi if they just have the time to grind through skills. No real quest or anything. Nice creativity, SOE.

I totally agree - considering she mastered 10 professions or so over 4 months, it makes the entire grind quite unpalatable for me (sort of like BE grinding, only 10 times worse)

I don't think anyone's asked the critical question about holocrons yet --

Did you 'earn' all those holocrons yourself, or were some purchased or given to you by other players?

We still don't know if they're transferrable....

Lyllian quoth:

Monika and seen the reports you would know, that while opening the slot is a great accomplishment by anyone, this person is the least of all to deserve it.

Congratulations flower, you're the first and nobody can take that away from you. However you achieved it, you achieved it - nuff said.

My question is where do people find holocrons?  Do i complete Jedi Missions or in theme parks?  Are they just so random that it's just luck to find one?

I may be missing something but if becoming a jedi is different for every one how would what you did affect us...

Others go through holocrons like they're on sale and never achive that long awaited goal of wielding a light saber. Could it be that others have different numbers of holocrons to go through and what will happen when Jedi sprout up like weeds would that kill the game experience? Me i do not seek that yet. Im considerd a noob becoming a CH, Rifle man,Swords man and a good medic would be a mile stone for me. But now that you placed the fact that your a rebel every one will go there even though it dosen't deal with the FSCS we allready out number the imperials. (If you are a jedi or FSCS be warned if you dont want to ruin the Game play experience or the enjoyment of becoming a Jedi it would be best to keep things underwraps for now).

One more thing i didn't write for spelling so there will be errors i wrote this to explain why the secret should be kept a secret.
