Brawler Macro I made to start combat and keep you close to the mob:

/attack;/follow

Then just target the mob using pointer or TAB key and hit the macro.  Helps alot if everyone else is ranged to keep you on the target.  You Can also use this to follow people as well.

Did you know that you can make extra chat windows and drag them around whereever you like?  I have a separate window for tells and groupchat so that i make sure that i dont miss anything.  Right click on one of your existing tabs, and hit "Add" something.   Then right click on your new tab, and hit "Modify," and you can change what channels go to that window.  You can also click and drag the tab to its new location and resize it.

I've learned so much here, thanks all.

My one cent worth is.

To /stand all you got to do is tap your move foward key. probably a given to most, but I just noticed that.

Is there a way to hit apostraphy and it enter chat /say mode. and then leave hitting enter to start chat to another channel like groupspeak ? This is real handy when you get used to it.

hi folks...

find jabba's place? rebel mission terminal? even a good concentration of ore? mark it with a waypoint that way you won't lose it. Don't forget to change the name of your waypoint tho' else you aren't going to remember what it's for

Ok, I have a few not mentioned that I like.

Number #1 keyboard remap : Autorun - map to mouse scroll wheel click (mouse2).  Open options menu, controls, keymap, then double click on autorun mapping and just click your mouse wheel.  All my movement from my mouse now.

Fkey setups: Put any in-a-hurry type command on the top level (F1-F12) and those where you always have time on the Shift-F1-F12.  Example, I move prone and sit to Shift F1, Shift F2 as I'm never in a rush to push those, but stand and kneel are on F1, F2.  Plan your hotkeys based on how quickly you need them in trouble.

Fkey setups: Standardize a few important keys on all 6 keymaps to ensure they are there when you need them no matter which set of keys are active.  The ones I set on all maps are Burst Run - F12, Stand - F1

Missions: Did you know that the difficulty of the missions listed are based on what you have equipped.  If you don't have your weapon equipped, then the mission list (and the money being offered) will be less.  To receive the highest possible credit awards, equip your best equipment.

Lair Destroying: Did you know not to spam special moves when attacking a lair so you can easily switch to any other target that attacks you.  Just use one special move at a time, and then you can select or double click on the approaching mob and it will switch targets next round.

Anytime you are grouping for destroy missions you can make a killing if everyone in the group picks two missions that have have the same general starting direction. For example if you take a mission that starts at 1000 South, have everyone get missions that start in the south. Then you can plow through them very quickly with little down time (running forever).

As far as using a scroll wheel mouse, I found that clicking the mouse wheel button (if yours does that) is the same as pressing the ALT key (switches between mouse-look and mouse-UI).

You can also start combat with a /head shot, or /body shot if you've got the appropriate skill.

Here's a nice macro for lazy miners:

/sample;/pause X;/sit;/pause Y;/stand;

Where X is how long your character takes before exhausting their pools when collecting resource samples, and Y is how long it takes for your character to regenerate their pools when sitting.  You can repeat this line as many times as you like in your macro, to get hours and hours of endless bot mining.

However, you should be careful when using such a long macro, because I am not aware of any way to kill the macro when you want it to end prematurely.  It would kind of suck to hit your 3-hour mining macro and then decide a few minutes later that you want to do something else, only to have to deal with your character attempting to alternately sample and sit every few minutes for the next 3 hours, no matter what you're doing.

Is anyone aware of a way to shut down a long macro early?  That would be really useful to know.

With the 5 button microsoft mouse (intellimouse Explorer) , the button #3 ( i.e. the large button under your thumb) is defaulted to auto-run.

The overhead map is ok? in town, but i've noticed alot turn it off if not in town, It really rocks out of town, and don't mess your view up. you can see enemies to avoid alot easier, was grouped with someone who said "there is nothing here to fight" and I was there with yellow and red dots all over my screen/

With the auro-spawn for your level feature, does that mean that when I get Urber, there will still be stuff just bearly out of town that can kill me?

I changed my controls to the 'first person shooter' pre made key map under Options -> Controls->Keymap.  There is a drop down bar there with options to for a number of pre set control configurations.  I like the 'First Person Shooter' style so I can use WASD for control.  Just like that other game I used to play but can't seem to remember the name of anymore.

The chat also has a 'DOSkey' like feature so you can use the up arrow (on first person shooter mode) to scroll through recently used commands and chat.  Super handy for sending tells to friends with long names.
