O nooos. i was on test and logged off my character to swap to another on test, doing so means i have to jump back to the login for some reason. well login fails and im like uhh whats going on. come here and poop the server is under maintenance. I feel kinda lame for logging out now i could have stayed on my character on test all day. But its cool having no more rubber banding on basilisk is very much welcomed, which happens to me a lot.

Is there any concern with the SSDs about endurance problems. They have a finite write count for the memory on them: http://www.storagesearch.com/ssdmyths-endurance.html

I'm not a computer hardware guy, but with 1000s of people playing all at once, will the lifetime of the SSDs be a month or 2 before having to replace them?

that depends on how much data gets written on the SSDs. I doubt it will be a terrabyte each day.

I don't believe it is the quantity of data written, but the amount of writes per "sector"? I was just wondering if it could pose a problem.

SSDs manage their sectors themselfs today, its called 'wear leveling'. It really is only a question of data quantity.

There is no need to apologize for improving the server we play on.

Thanks for the update anyway, you're the best.
Only a few find the way, some don't recognize it when they do, some don't ever want to.

Thanks for the update and the continued hard work. It's nice to be back in the real version of this game again.

Which time zone is that from? 8pm....It's only 1:30pm here in the Pacific.

Thanks to all who are working to bring the game back-even if it takes days here and there to get things back up.
