Just tested it out on Nova. Long story short, droids are completely useless until Pub 9. Any droid that uses a General Droid Module Socket Cluster or Combat-Capable Socket Cluster has those modules deleted upon crafting. That means no more R2/R3/Probot with crafting stations, no more R2/R3/Probot with harvesting modules, and many, many other things.

Did you actually read what I posted? Nova is running code that is not going to Basilisk with publish 8. Droids will remain exactly as they were in Publish 7.
