Try to run the Yavin 4 Space Station Mission. At the End you get the Option to run a Destroy Duty Mission from there. Tir 2 Ships and Tir 3 Bosses. There will be waves after Waves to destroy. Masses of Ships. Easy Targets, good XP and Money and Loot.
Same goes for Naboo Station and Dantooine Space Station.
If you don´t want to land each time to get a new one, thats a good option.
For Tir4 i found it best as Imperial Storm Sq. to run the full Duty Mission from my Trainer. Its easy to get those 1 Mio xp in one Round, since this Duty will last pretty long. Those Tir4 Ships and Tir5 Bosses dropp some nice loot, give good XP and aren´t so hard to destroy if you have a good Ship. Otherwise bring some friends along.

) If your Smugglers Alliance Freelance Pilot you can "pull" these one at a time. Be careful as sometimes you can agro more than 1 ship with a stray shot. I went from Novice Freelance Pilot to completing Tier 3 un under 24 hours
