About Orions....

It says he Worked on Commando flame line then the Slot opened up...that would imply he Mastered Marksmen to get there before it opened

So 3 basic there

You know, I just noticed I forgot 2 small things I did, didn't expect things to be collected and analysed that well. I should have known ..

Anyway, I was a newbie bio-engineer at one point, got one level into dna sampling.

And I was 0004 bounty hunter, during the time I leveled up ranger.

What were all their starting professions? Has anyone tracked that?

I'd like to add that to the current list. I'm kinda working with a spreadsheet here to look for patterns in the numbers. So far I've only tracked down 3 starting professions but two of them were artisan and seem to show some correlation in the types of professions they mastered. It's an ultra-small sample though, so it's just the beginning of a theory really.

Give me a shadowed forest into which I might disappear.
Give me a terrible foe and stack the odds against me.
Give me friends and creatures with whom I can share my adventures, my losses and my gains.
Let the gales blow and the world be torn asunder but don't make me stand alone against the tempest.

some very quick analysis and a bump:

total number of boxes gained:
188 *
216
180 *
216
180
126
176+ *
198
144
180
* indicates that a more or less full listing of skills is available not just masteries.

respectivly

The spread of these results may indicate a random set of skill boxes are required, thoes with low numbers of boxes got *very* lucky (as some must with such a high population). Or it could indicate an exp system whereby skills only contribute in a minor way and it does not much matter which skills (though this analysis does not provide enough data to assess a point system, vast ammounts of information would be required for that).

Or it could mean that the skill boxes idea is wrong.  We would have seen jedi a long time ago if this theory was correct.

I came to the skill box conclusion a while ago but i've found what you have that it's all over the place so it's hard to say that it's a solid thing.

and no we would not have seen jedi a long time ago on just the skill box... simply because skill boxes or professions is NOT the only requirement.... there are a ton of other things you can/should do to open the slot that a lot of people have ingored.

what i'm curious about is the fact that Devs have stated that you do not need holocrons to open the slot.

Does this mean you can just randomly pick "x" amount of professions (7-8), or there is a set path but good luck finding it for your toon, or the holocrons just give you something random... argh...

Do we have someone that is confirmed in not opening any holo's and getting the slot. I seen you have something listed like that... was wondering... that or the person got extremely lucky.

The reason i'm asking is because i want to try this without using any holocrons... I got a path that i would like to take...

The reason i don't use holocrons is because i'm afraid of the path it may give me... and if it's possible to do it without them i have a nice path to finish off my 7-8 masteries...

One thing is for sure... if you use a holocron it gives you a "path"... whether it is preset or random it's a path...

Thanks for your time,

Great job compiling this information, 5 stars for you...

A request as well, if you could also list if they have declared a residence, joined a pa and how many themeparks completed

Thanks again for your hard work

Ya know...

If I were SOE and I did not want people to find out exactly how to unlock a FSCS, I would put a timer on it.

For instance, the very moment they unlock their FSCS it goes on a 24 hour timer before you get the message.  That way, you wouldnt know exactly what caused the FSCS slot to open, making it harder to powergame.
