I think you said that backwards. Alliance pilots are the only ones that can pull the Lok Duty.
Heh, no. I meant if you're a rebel pilot you pick up BlackSun duty missions from your trainer at the hotel at Nym's on Lok, if you're a neutral pilot, you pick them up from your trainer at Theed Palace on Naboo. I am fine with that and I understand it.
My question was whether you NEED to be a neutral pilot so that you can loot the helmet. In other words, has any rebel pilot, taking BlackSun duty missions from his trainer on Lok, ever looted a BlackSun helmet?
In this guide it's said that there is a natural spawn in Dathomir, but I have not been able to find it. Anyone has a waypoint or a bit of information to help me out finding it?
1st answer- every Black sun ship is a valid source for the helmet, independent of your pilot profession.
2nd answer- the Dark Eclipse is a single giant Black sun gunboat that travels through Dathomir space on a regular basis. Most of the time I find it between Last Nav Station and the Imperial Station.

i have been playing for almost two years but only just got round to doing my pilot training so im a bit of a space noob,
now it says in the guide that any freelance pilot can do the blacksun duty missions, i am training in the smugglers alliance.
once i am teir 4 or master can i then go to the RSF trainer in theed and just get a duty mission or do i need to drop smugglers alliance and re-train as a corsec pilot?
basically what im asking is after i am a master pilot in smuggler alliance,can i go to any freelance trainer no matter what squad and pick up a duty mission

Yeah thanks alot that doesnt help at all, you could have just told me that i could go to the rsf trainer to train my teir 4. all i wanted was a simple answer cheers

yes, once you can take the teir4 smugglers duty mishes, you should just have to pop over and try the RSF trainer for the 'i can handle thoose blacksun' mish..
I do the corsec duty, out of the mining outpostath all the time, and i'm RSF by trade(i do recommend the corsec one- it can last forever....which is what it seems to take to loot the Danm thing)
Well, as I said previously, I have received a BS helm off tier 2's and gotten 2 off the Dantooine MO Corsec escort mission. Any Tier4+ freelance can do this mission. Note also that you can take the mission for a friend (imp or reb) and just put them on follow and let them kill the spawns while you do something else. Be forewarned that as a freelance you can be attacted in Dantooine space by the "stealth" tie fighters that your IMP buddies will not be able to attack. So use caution with this method. Also, when the escort is complete, your buddy will not have the WP to the next mission so you need to guide them to the next freighter to escort.

I am 4444 freelance smugler pilot (rebel ground faction),and i just tried getting the mission from the corsec trainer in Dant MO.. Response i got was "only corsec pilots could take this mision" (as in; go away,dork!) Did something change when i wasnt looking? Gonna try the trainer in theed tomorrow *fingers crossed*

Diness Imler in Theed Palace will give the duty missions to RSF pilots for sure. That's how I got my helmet.

Yup,seems i had the corvette mission in my datapad Hasnt been a problem before,but u think thats it then?
Probably hasn't been a problem before, if you haven't tried to take a mission since you got it.
Say it with me- if I can only have one space mission, and I already have one space mission, I shouldn't be surprised when I cannot get more than one space mission
