Actually I'm hoping someone can clarify for me. Are you saying that you know for sure that Dath station offers 2 Duties, neither of them Black Sun to an Imperial?
Dath station only offers me a duty to destroy rebels, or to escort freighters and destroy rebels. Of course this could be another side-effect caused by dropping my squadron after finishing the primary missions for the Dathomir stations on Storm Squadron. Unfortunately my only recollection from the first time I finished these missions was that I did so attempting to find a duty mission that offered FP prior to the completion of my squadron. So even if I did previously have the option to destroy Blacksun I would have ignored it, and on trying to kill rebels found that the mission was spawning A-Wings prompting me to stop the mission and hyper out not bothering to return. Short version, probably best to double-check with an Imperial who has recently finished the Dathomir station quests, or that has never changed squadrons.

Just 15 min ago I finished that short (ha! those escorts were putting me to sleep they were so long) series of missions that opens up the ability to repair 100%. I don't get any additional options for duties, only the ones mentioned above - take out some Rebels, or escort some transports. The station quests themselves threw me up against some Black Sun near the end, last couple of missions - and there was 1 Tier 4 "boss" at the end of the very last mission, but that was it. I'll check again tomorrow in case I missed something somewhere, but I don't think there are any Black Sun specific missions for Imps at least at this point, the way it looks.
Currently a 2-3-3-3 Black Epsilon pilot (still working on my tactics and skills to solo the final Tier 3 mission).

Not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place but I tried the Imperial quest trick and during that Chiss mission the only things that spawn are tier 4 ships called "Blacklight" Fighters, Assasins, Bombers.
It was just the first step where she asks you to make a delivery in dantooine space. When you arrive at the waypoint patrols of four tier 4 blacklights start to spawn and attack. Then a tier 2 freighter spawns that I guess your supposed to dock with to complete the delivery.
I killed off 5 or 6 waves of blacklight before I decided to fail and check to see if this was the right mission step. The freighter cons yellow so you can attack it. I dropped the freighter and the mission failed. Is this the wrong step?
I believe she tells you there are, what 3 deliveries? Obviously it's not the first one. If what I wrote gave you that impression, I'm sorry. Check them all and simply fail before the last delivery.
edit- checked what I wrote, nope I wasn't specific because I couldn't remember.

BTW, I can *confirm* that I got a Black Sun Helmet off a tier 2 (two) Corsec mission while I was grinding up Corsec Ace. So as far as I am concerned, *any* BS has a (small) chance of dropping a helmet.
Note also that I can *confirm* getting BS Helmet off a tier 4 during the duty mission received from the Corsec Trainer at Dantooine MO (the escort a BS freighter one).
