Item description showing up on screen when mouse has been over it for a split second. NO WAY TO TURN THIS DAMN THING OFF.
you're fighting, have your mouse pointer over the special attack you are using and pop comes up the little window telling you its name, its stats and brief description.
and blocking the rest of your toolbars and in some occassions blocking your view of the character.
TURN IT OFF.

Tacwraith, I do believe unchecking the Show Tips/Notification in the Interface Options tab should take care of this, however, it doesn't seem to be working. Good catch.
Which flora settings do you mean exactly? The three checkboxes or the sliders? What settings do they commonly reset to (hover the mouse over the sliders to see the setting or tell me if they reset to checked/unchecked in the case of checkboxes, please)?
The three checkboxes. All three now default to checked at login.
Before approximately Publish 22, these values were saved across sessions; now they're not. If you turn them off (as I prefer), they're back on the next time you log in.

For me, unchecking "Sounds from character's perspective" in the sounds options gets rid of the problem and allows sounds (including that of speeders) to fade in and out depending on camera perspective. Let me know if that isn't the case for you and I shall add it to the list.
Hmm. I don't recall seeing such an option, but I may have missed it. Definitely sounds like it could be what I'm looking for.

Could you elaborate on the exact location and name of the option? Does it happen upon a safe /logout, /quit, etc.?

This does not work, the poster is correct. Within the friends list is a notification of online status on the bottom left, it's a checkbox. It will report for that session 'XxXxX has logged on' etc. but when you leave the client and relog, or play the next day, the check is once again out of the box.
Recently noticed, Datapad hight decreases with each open/close operation.
Tested like this, opened datapad. Pulled the hight of it to my normal. Repedetly opened and closed it untill it was just high enough so the icons could fit in it without having to scroll. This seems to only happen right after login and will go away when either you reach minimum high or resize it widthwise. Haven't done that much testing to be sure.
Section 15, the bit about 2 sets if EULA coming up is somehting i have never ever had nor has anyone i know ingame had, we have always only received 1, are you sure this isn't just something that is a 'quirk' on your machine?

No the show tips/notification only affects menus and pop-up windows that you can X out.
This is more like 'info' that will pop up. like when you put your mouse over your taskbar clock in windows and it will tell you the date in a popup.
extremely annoying.

So it's the option in the community menu. It seems to remember the notification status for all of my contacts correctly for me. It seems it only happens in some cases, perhaps it only happens to newer contacts (most of mine are quite old)?
