3. Dual wielding weapons There will be a possibility for players to simultaneously equip two weapons of the same type that usually only require one hand to operate (pistols, one-handed swords, vibroknucklers, thrown weapons, lightsabers, perhaps even smaller carbines and small rifles like spraysticks), one in each hand. This can only be done if both weapons are holstered and of the same weapon type (see section 1. and 2.) to prevent problems with weapon switching. Only masters of the weapon type used will have the certification to use two weapons of that very kind effectively at once. When non-masters of that kind are dual-wielding, the left-hand weapon will act as uncertified weapon. Dual wielding weapons will substantially lower the accuracy and perhaps even slightly increase the defensive bonus against melee attacks. Weapon speed will be the average of both weapons, while damage will be handled as if both weapons are fired at the same time, perhaps with a slight reduction. Special move costs will be doubled. + Adds the cool effect of dual-wielding + Only true masters of a weapon will be able to do this which will encourage masteries of weaponry + Adds the effect of using the second weapon to parry melee attacks
U really need to be a developer, was da first thing i thought of when i joined, y am i always caring my crapy CDEF pistol? Plus how is it difficult one of em could atleast explain it to us

Why do people always say this when someone has a good idea? I even see it when it's not such a good idea. I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure that developers aren't just the guys that come up with the ideas. I'm guessing they have years of programming/modelling experience and a degree in a related field to prove it. Now I may be wrong, but in researching the subject, I've found they don't just give these jobs to anyone.
Yes, this is a really cool idea, but I could see how it might be too difficult to pursue without a major overhaul. Besides the loads of brand new code that would have to be written, they would have to create new animations for the models. This may seem like a small task, but honestly, there's a lot involved. They may even have to rebuild the models. The new weapon stances will have to integrate seamlessly with current animations/emotes. As for the holsters, there's another animation, that could get fairly complicated. Because if you could holster a weapon, but it just appeared on your back/side with little to no animation, people would cry and complain that it looked dumb, so the developers would have to spend quite a bit of time on that animation, which wouldn't just include the character model, but the weapon model as well in order to make sure it looked good, with as few problems as possible. Also remember that there's something like 7 or 8 races, which would all have to have the new animations.
Anyway, what I'm saying is, just because someone has a good idea doesn't mean they should be a developer or that the current developers haven't thought of it already. I personally think the whole team is doing a great job, and I don't think enough people say that. Now I've run into several bugs/glitches/whatever that have made me curse profusely, but I got over it, because remember folks, it's just a GAME. And I thoroughly enjoy this GAME and apparantly so do you, so please if you're one of the many, stop your complaining, or if you must continue, please do so in a thoughtful, well organized, constructive manner.
Thank you and goodnight

When non-masters of that kind are dual-wielding, the left-hand weapon will act as uncertified weapon.
This would still give them an advantage as it can allow them to do more damage and damage their opponent faster...

I've got a little something to add. most people have 'mimiced' themselves in this game. so why not let them chose to be left handed or right handed? I personally am left handed and the only game I know of that lets you pick which hand you are is BOWLING! so since this is an rpg and we can pick everything from hair color to height, let us choose which hand we are dominatly proficent in.
3. This can only be done if both weapons are holstered and of the same weapon type (see section 1. and 2.) to prevent problems with weapon switching. Only masters of the weapon type used will have the certification to use two weapons of that very kind effectively at once. When non-masters of that kind are dual-wielding, the weapon in their non-dominant hand will act as uncertified weapon and unlike with a mastery, the speed of both weapons together will be that of the weapon in the dominant hand. Dual wielding weapons will substantially lower the accuracy and perhaps even slightly increase the defensive bonus against melee attacks. Weapon speed will be the average of both weapons (for masters of the weapon type used only), while damage will be handled as if both weapons are fired at the same time, perhaps with a slight reduction. Special move costs will be doubled. + Adds the cool effect of dual-wielding + Only true masters of a weapon will be able to do this which will encourage masteries of weaponry + Adds the effect of using the second weapon to parry melee attacks
4. Choice of dominant hand Give every character a choice of being either right- or left-handed and thus determine which of the character's hands is dominant and which one is non-dominant. + Allows people to create and roleplay left-handed characters and thus creates more diversity between them
Nothing to thank me for. Just like my other 'Vision' threads, I created this one to expand on my ideas with the help of you all to help the developers improve the game. So if any good ideas and suggestions come up, I will gladly incorporate them into the threads, as long as I think they fit nicely into the envisioned picture.
Perhaps you will be able to thank the developers later, when they actually implement some of these ideas
