lol so very true!
Lol, everyone keep in mind. Real life has better graphics
But the story is bull****
i wantet to show my iq and gave evidence with make the math.
how big is the DB? if you dont mind me asking?
thats smaller than i was expecting for a game this size, but still takes a fair amount of managing lol
Thanks for the Answer to my question. I guess I an agree to a point. Mostly ebcause you RENT the servers and have little to no access to configure it. I would prefer the RAM to handle Random Access personally. A Rented server makes the difficult, didn't think about that
P.S. I wish the company would be willing to accept an SSD from us. I am sure we could fund one and they could put it in the machine and not charge us more per month!

Sure, ram is always better for performance, but SSDs are certainly an attractive option once you get to a certain size, and I think we're past that point here.
Just a rough estimate, but adding another 64G of ram to a server would probably add around $1k/month to the cost, maybe more. (I'm not sure the exact deal that swgemu got; thats just a ballpark figure).
256G of ram would probably be closer to $3k/month extra, not really practical, and it still wouldn't hold the database entirely.
Adding another 400G ssd would probably be around $300/month.
My estimates may be a little out of date, I haven't priced anything yet this year, but it should be around there.
