Scrum Planning Meeting #1

We'll be holding our first Release Planning & Sprint Planning Meeting this weekend.

When:
  • Saturday the 19th at Noon EDT (4pm GMT / 5pm CET)
  • Expect 1 hour minimum and 2 hour maximum duration.
  • Please be flexible since this is the first structured Scrum meeting for everyone

Where:
  • #Meeting IRC Channel
  • Channel will be open to the Community.
  • Adhering to Scrum practices, the only participants speaking will be the potential Scrum Team members (QA & Dev), the Product Owner and Scrum Master.

Who:
  • Mandatory for all QA/CTT & Development/Assistant Team members.
  • Strongly recommended for all other Staff/Assistants.
  • Open to the Community.

The Release Planing establishes the goal of the release, Player Story priorities from the Product Backlog, major risks, gain weight fast and the overall features and functionality that the release will contain.

The Sprint Planning is where the Product Owner and Scrum Team negotiate:
  • What will be work will be done for the next Sprint
  • How it is going to build this functionality into an SWGEMU increment during the Sprint
  • Who from the Scrum Team will be doing the work.

The Sprint Backlog is the output from this meeting.

UPDATE: All documents for this meeting can be accessed in the Scrum Documents folder at our Google site. Or if you don't have any Google login (doesn't need to be SWGEmu), then the two main files are Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog.

Sorry for the delay on the meeting notes, they are posted in a Google Doc now for everybody to view.

Will be interesting to see when the next scrum is. This Emu has come a long way since last time I was around here.
