Wow, this is very exciting news! I can't believe how far this project has come since I joined in on the scene a year or so ago. Keep up the great work guys. Looking forward to playing on the new hardware.

Alright, you guys convinced me. This is completely kickass. The last time I contributed cash was about 4 years ago. I'm gonna give some more now.

Am I reading this right? 64GB of RAM? Man, that should help a LOT!

thought the post said 6cores, the 6128 has 8 magny cores running at 2.0ghz. so two of those puppies should be a few times better compared to the old Q8400.

and hopefully ping will improve for us european guys now with that dedicated line

I am looking forward to making a donation as well. I will certainly make a large donation next month, since it seems we've already made our goal this month lol. Keep up the good work, SWGEmu team.

    We all appreciate it

    Long live SWGEmu!

Any idea when the server might be back up? Just looking for a general timetable.

Wow really big upgrades!! Also I didn't know the server was running on a Q8400 with 8GB of memory. If I am correct that's a 775 socket series Intel CPU which is the oldest available in the market currently (probably about to be retired soon).

Anyway from my experience with building computers over last 8 years this is a serious upgrade! 64GB of memory with dual 8 core processors is a huge difference from what we were just running on! LOL. The prior server specs is pretty close to what I am running for my home computer haha.

So the forum will not be connected to the servers now?? If so that is excellent news!! Cause i know a lot of people run to the forums when the server is down. Mostly to kill time and maybe be constructive in adding to forum topics. When servers were down you were not really able to do this as the forums were choked up a lot which really made me not bother posting.

Thanks a lot for this! I am that much more happier that I started to donate when I came back to the project last month.

IT said 24 hour max. I'll just plan for the full 24hours then.
