We've had a few SSD failures in the past but apparently this time it was just a plain old normal HDD that died. Think the confusion came in when I answered what an SSD failure is.

With all the faliures maybe its time to think about Raid 1 mirroring and hot swapping.

The drives which crashed were running in a RAID10, if it wasn't, this crash would've meant the loss of ALL data. But even with RAID of any sorts, if a drive goes bad, it can take a GOOD long while for the data to be rebuilt if a new drive is put it considering if the RAID was some sort of mirrored array.

Seems to me that they are not the only ones having problems with HDD and SDD as of late. I know about 5 friends that have had HDD issues including crashes recently as well as having had SSD and HDD issues at work. nothing that cannot be repaired but it takes time and there is always a risk of lost information. Good luck to those working on the situation.

Also thank you all involved for providing this community and for all their work on the SWGEmu Project.
