Let me explain. When you become a knight you become permanently overt. When this happens you can always be killed, no matter what. Kinda like thepit. The way around this is selecting a shrine in the cloning ui window where one would normally select a saved cloning point. These normally aren't camped cause people can't be bothered to go to them.
