Why is that? Especially with someone selling swoops for 5k! I mean you start with 2k, so all you need to do is make up the difference to participate. Then enjoy the after party festivities!

I'll try to make it, though I'll be at least a little late (it starts 30 minutes before I get off from work). I finally bought a swoop today, though I've never participated in a race before. Any rules or recommendations you can lay down so we can get familiarized before the event starts? Is there any way to practice first?

    Just my thoughts,

Yes, since this is a scheduled event, all participants who finish the race will be awarded a live event badge. That means if you fall off, you better hurry back to the start, cause we won't stay at the finish line forever handing out badges!

Here's a quote from Shotter's original race event!

So you look at the title and you see "Swoop Race", and you tell yourself "Well, that's not going to work." Why do you say this? Because you've most likely been a part of a player Swoop race in the past on Live, and lets face it, what did all of those events boil down to? Whoever hit auto-run first, and whoever was the closest to the starting line, that was it.

What makes this different is that now you have a track you have to stay on. Why do you have to stay on it? Because if you fall off, it's going to be hard to get back up. This track is in the air.

Are you allowed to get back on the track? Of course, but the likelihood of you winning anything will be slim to none. Players will all start at the same starting line, and will finish at the same end. But not all tracks are the same.

What should you do to prepare? Who knows, each track comes with its own set of perils.

    - Should you eat that KD Defense food before the race starts? You never know if some pesky NPCs might come along and try and knock you off your swoop.
    - Maybe being in first place at all times isn't the best bet, if there are NPCs, maybe they'll agro the leader first, KD him, and then I can zoom by.
    - Is this a shortcut? Or am I going to run in to a dead end?
    - Maybe you see some Imperials fighting some rebels, are they normal NPCs, or do they hold some special loot for someone willing to go off the track?
    - Should I race as a team or go solo?
    - Do I love the Empire or Rebellion enough to risk the chance that a random faction NPC blows up my bike?

Decisions must be made quickly, and made intelligently. A bit of luck never hurts either. So good luck aspiring swoop champions, Now is your time to shine.
There's going to be little to do in terms of preparation or practicing. You got to think quickly on your feet and make last minute decisions!

For those who attended Shotter's races before, you may see some similar hurdles from his Skill track. If you all remember, that was very difficult and not many people made it. One thing that is different though is that our track is going to be almost three times the length of the old tracks. Trust us when we say, this is not for the faint of heart. Swoop racing has taken a nasty turn for the worst, and a simple little artisan may no longer be cut out to race on these tracks. Come prepared for the worst when you face the Bravery Track today!
