Holonet News Update
Our sources have received information that a renowned elder Wookiee, who was en route to celebrate life day on his home planet of Kashyyyk, has been placed under arrest on suspicion of treason by the Empire. It is alleged that he has information on the whereabouts of a certain hero of the rebellion which our informant believes to be none other than Chewbacca. The Wookiee is currently being held at the Imperial Oasis Retreat on Tatooine. Security at the retreat is already exceptionally tight as Captain Thrawn is currently present at the retreat, entertaining many honoured guests at the annual Red & White ball. Sources claim the suspect Wookiee has been placed under heavy guard inside the base compound and all entrances are apparently being barricaded. A large Rebel force is said to be assembling not far from the retreat to stage a rescue mission which aims to free the Wookiee. Both the Imperial and Rebellion Commanders have stated to our reporters that they will award the renowned Brave Soldier Badge for outstanding courage to those who prove themselves worthy during the upcoming battle.

We have also received information that a band of freelancers has been gathering near the retreat. It is believed they will join forces and attempt to retrieve a spice shipment which was destined for sale at Captain Thrawn’s Red & White Ball. One witness said the high grade spice shipment was stolen by an outlaw gang earlier today while the clandestine cargo was being unloaded at the Imperial Oasis. The notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt is rumored to be offering the Brave Soldier Badge for outstanding courage to those who exact revenge on the culprits and return his precious shipment.
