I don't know code/game developing but I know my computer/server hardware
They also have 2x 1TB SATA 7.2k disks (probably also in raid 1)
I'm guessing the server is a DL380 G7 meaning you'd need SAS drives rather than SCSI
Disks aren't the bottleneck here though. Even at what I'd call minimum transfer speed for 7.2k disks (60mb/s), the job should have been done in 3 hours, so it means something else is the limitation.
