Like many of you probably im a systems engineer as well and huge ammounts of I/O on storage devices i.e. RAID and thus HDD devices will have a large impact on them, god knows how many times i got 2 disks out of 5 defect in high end Exchange (DB) servers with 1k+ connections, that said...
