You can do this either by:

1. Goin in to your SWGEmu folder (C:\SWGEmu is the default location) locating swgemu_login.cfg file, opening it with notepad and changing the loginServerAddress0=nova.swgemu.com to loginServerAddress0=76.73.75.106

NOTE: Once you do that dont run LPE, us the SWGEmu.exe from SWGEmu folder to run the game. If you run LPE it will update the swgemu_login.cfg and delete all the changes you have made.

2. When you run LPE press the Servers button at the bottom and the add. Name a server Basilisk (or something) and add other details like in this picture:

http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/7567/capturepgch.png

Once you do that select Basilisk from the slider (server selection) on top and press PLAY.

NOTE: If you chose this method you will need to do it only once, then just select Basilisk on LPE if it by any chance changes back to Official.

I'm getting this error when I launch LPE. I hit OK, get a application must close, hit OK, LPE closes, then the game loads fine. I'm also getting no ping or packet loss information in both the network monitor window and the cntr-shft-g window.

Any ideas?

Ok, unchecked the "read only" box on the SWGEMU folder, and I no longer get the error message. Still no Ping/PL info ingame though.

Should be SWGEmu.exe not SWGEmu.ece

Go to C:\Users\*user name*\AppData\Roaming\ and delete your LPECommon folder (if you are running Win7 or Vista), or to C:\Documents and Settings\*user name*\Application Data (XP)

NOTE: Folder is hidden.

Then go to C:\SWGEmu folder, locate and delete swgemu_login.cfg file. Run LPE and let it update then use second option in the guide i posted.

Did you close all your game clients before you made the IP change from the guide i posted?

Yessir. Initial login is fine. Just that a soft log shows server down and won't let me back in without a complete logout.

As Vlada saidm you have to run the game through the .exe file within the SWGEMU folder the first time (after the changes are made). If you don't, then you will encounter the server offline issue when you go to switch characters.

The "Config Repair" button in the Launcher Options fixed the problem for me. :)

Awesome. Now it won't connect at all. Looks like a complete reinstall of LPE now. Things happen..

It looks like the main Officer Server option has been updated to the new IP address. I had added a 2nd one earlier today but tried the original just now and got past the login server fine.

Its actually swgemu.exe and you on longer need it, LPE is working as intended now.

Getting a message on the knowledgebase Assembla Trac that it now requires a username and password. Is that part of this and not intentional? We admins use this information daily on our own server and found it blocked just today. Maybe a byproduct?

Vlada
04-14-2013, 06:03 PM
Nah, Assembla will be down for a few days, probably till their support guys see our ticket.
