This is a great guide!!

I'd suggest we add info on the types of cubes that can be added to interwoven RIS peices.

-and-

A FAQ question... For PSG's does the quality of the Master Artisan items mater.

Thanks. I'll add those two pieces of information.

With regard to the layering guide, I'll take a look at it and see if I can incorporate it into the Guide somehow.

I'm afraid I only read trough down to the resistances, but anyway:
Both Chitin and Bone armor provide special protection against blast damage.
Excuse me!? This is listed under the energy resist part.

Superb guide Jaato! Allthough I didn't like the formatting in some places, unless it is the forum acting up. For instance how a new armortype comes on the same line as the requirements for the previous. Just a cosmetic change needed though, makes for an easier read.

I'll be sure to give it a full read later on. Again, thanks for your communitywork.

Hmm, I'll fix that error. And yes, it's the forum acting up. The formatting shouldn't be like that. It's very frustrating posting HTML in here, though- on the computer I'm currently working on I can't see most formating things at all!

I have tested this a few times.  The quality of the sub-components that go into psg's do not make any difference to the results of the final product.

Jaato (and other contributors), many thanks for posting this. I'm a relatively new player, working on Armorsmith (just started making chitin) and this guide answers pretty much all of the queries I've come up with so far!

Many thanks!

Jaato - Nice to see you updated the bible.  I still have the original one next to me every time I craft!

One thing I have noticed...

I looted some Faamba Armor Segmets (that are suppose to be used in Padded).  However, when I attempted to use them, they didn't show up in my crafting window as 'useable'.  Not sure if it's a known bug or not...

Hmm. I could have sworn I played around with those once and didn't notice any problems.
Are you sure they were segments and not enhancements?

Yup.  Tried it this weekend.  I had 2 Segments from a Faamba.  Only reason I tried was I had an order for padded, and was looking for an way out.  I didn't want to have to make the padded segments.  The rancor ones worked as intended, but the Faamba ones wouldn't show up in the crafting window as useable.

Maybe we can get confirmation from someone - but I still have the segments.

Tried this just now to check if the devs might have done a shortcut in fixing rancor segments. They didn't. Fambaa Hide Segments work just fine to me, made this screenshot to show it. Note the bright green around the segmentslot when I got the fambaasegments selected. (The final armor turned out to be like 35% base or something with a decent coldprotection and a low blast)

If it still doesn't work for you, have you tried other types of armor? Might be something funny with your segments, I don't know.

Awesome guide!  left out one small detail on RIS location.  the negative sign in front of the first coordinate for the old guy.  +6800 puts you on wrong side of planet, lol.

Thanks a lot jaato.

Just wanted to say to all of you grinding armorsmiths:

Mabari chest plates are the way to go! Do not be distraught by their use of synthetic clothes, just harvest (or buy) 16k fiberplast and 4k polymer. Then, find a novice tailor to make you schematic with the resources. Pop them into a factory and buy the next day you will have 40 crates. I find this is much faster than the typical AUK/ubese shirt method.

Also, what does integrity do? you seem to have left this out. I can not find information on this anywhere.

Doh! Don't ask my guild how many times I've done that when reading coordinates off a site like Warcry to them...it's a good thing there's no friendly fire in this game, because I'd have quite a bit of decay if there were...
