Ind is located inside the Lucky Despot on the upper levels next to Lady Valarian at loc 3364,-4609. Ind adds your name to a list of new recruits and asks you to deliver the list to the Chief Assassin, ohhh and avoid getting murdered in the streets.
The Republic Blaster is level 0 certified weapon - that means anybody can use it. It's not faction related (you'll find the Republic was around long before the Empire or the Rebellion if you do your homework). It's listed with the CDEF's, survival knife, wood staff, heavy axe, etc. in your Weapon Certifications when you first enter the galaxy.
i talked to ind and then she says all that stuff but it doesnt give me a wp to go to the assassin.
could someone give me wp coordinates to where the assassin is?
the waypoint bug can also be fixed by shuttling to another town, if you'd rather pay the few hundred credits to save from having to log out. I was bugged until I went from Mos Eisley to Mos Entha.
Okay, so there is a bug, currently, with waypoints and their creation. Especially happens to people who survey. For some reason, the GUI cannot create more than a certain number of waypoints and when you hit that number it fails to create (or destroy, even) any more waypoints.
If I have the time I am going to test this, today, but I think (hopefully) if you try to do the quest again, you should get a waypoint for the chief assassin.
Why? Because I was missing a waypoint, then I logged in the next night to find one for "valarian_assassin". And I don't use underscores for my set names I make, myself.
Try it again and see if it works. Good luck to both of us. (Hec, all the things I shoot at come up to me, eventually, anyway!)
This is the first NPC quest to actually give me something COOL, not just retarded junk. My Valarian Faction is too negative to complete all the quests this person provides, so before I go killing Jabbas Gang for days;
Does anyone know if he gives you anything else for completing the rest of his missions? Or is it the usual crap +/- a few hundred credits?
The final Jabba mission is to retrieve a named sword for him. Dmg is something like 50-150... I can't remember exactly. If you complete the last quest you lose the sword and there are no further missions. I recommend holding on to the sword, or maybe giving it to someone and attempting to do the final mission over again. Maybe you can get another sword.
Other than the sword (and the drum the sword was kept in) I never received a single reward for Jabba's missions.
The damage is decent, and the sound and blue laser fire is kinda cool, but the range modifiers on the republican blaster are so bad that you can hardly hit anything with it. Unless you are point blank. So it's more of a novelty than useful. Or perhaps more like a melee weapon.
I believe they are 0/-40/-80 if I remember correctly.
It is a chrome pistol like the security guard in episode 1 used, but it shoots GREEN blaster bolts. This is interesting because i looked on every tree and the "Republic Blaster Certification" wasn't on any of them... For now it sits in my house.
I did this some time ago too.. I traded the weapon for some chitin armor. I remeber the stats be pretty nice and a novice marksmen can not use it. I beleive it requires you to be a pistolier.
But the mission was rather easy.
