    Details:
Sean Trenwell says, "Now that I'm in office, I can finally set some of my ideas into action. The marketplace could definitely use some attention, and I should make sure everything at the museum is going well."

You say, "Do you have any special plans for while you're in office?"

Sean Trenwell says, "Indeed I do! History is a passion of mine, especially since my ancestors were among the original settlers of Bestine. I've gotten enough funding to hire a historian. We made an exciting new discovery just last week! A terrible desert storm came through and kicked up loose sand and beneath was a wrecked ship. We think it may be the Red-Sin Valon., the vessel used to transport the early settlers to Tatooine. It's so exciting!"

    You say, "I suppose."

Sean Trenwell says, "Yes. Anyway, lately we've experienced brutal attacks from the Sand People. My historian is having a hard time of it, and I'm not sure her efforts can continue. She doesn't possess a brawler's spirit or the skill of a marksman. She's just a scholar. It's depressing to think that our attempts to restore the Red-Sin Valon have been fruitless. Do you think you can help? You seem like an adventurer. Or am I wrong?"

You say, "I am an adventurer!"

Sean Trenwell says, "Just my luck! I could really use your help. The Red-Sin Valon find is phenomenal in of itself, but what if there's more? I want you to bring back any information you can. There must be some sort of log of the events surrounding the early settlement attempts. I'd really like for you to find it. Do you think you can do that?"

You say, "Sounds like fun, I'll do it!"

Sean Trenwell says, "Let me see your datapad for a second. I'll punch in the location for you. Return to me if you
find anything. Be sure to speak with my historian at
the site. Oh, and beware of the Tuskens!"

Follow the waypoint to the Red-Sin Valon crash site located at -758, -3907. Speak to the historian (name changes per server reset).

Historian says, "Ah! You must be the new assistant. Welcome to the crash site of the Red-Sin Valon. Before you start poking around, maybe you'll want to hear a little history about the site first. It will give you a little sensitivity about an already-delicate situation."

You say, "Sure. Tell me the history."

Historian says, "The Red-Sin Valon carried the first of the
new settlers to Tatooine. The captain of the ship and her crew members helped found Bestine. Despite the early difficulties -- a severe economic depression, lack of water and so forth -- Bestine survived and became the thriving city we see today. There's so much more depth to it..."

    You say, "Yeah?"

Historian says, "Anyway, you should check the wreckage to see what you find. If you do find anything, you can bring
it to me. I'm required to screen whatever is found. We don't need to excite Sean over nothing, you know what I mean? Go ahead and look around. And be careful!"

Look for a small cylindrical capsule, with a portion
of a data terminal screen showing, called a Damaged Terminal. Walk about 2m~3m around it and you will get the following message.

As you approach the terminal, you notice something
sticking out of a dataslot and you take it. The
object appears to be an aged datadisk, but it looks
like it might still be readable.

As you are searching, you will find a damaged disk. Any more searching results in: You search the area, but find nothing else of interest.

    Return to the Historian.

Historian says, "Did you find anything?"

    You say, "Yes, I did."

Historian says, "Well done! What an interesting piece of
history. You'd think it would have been destroyed in these dreadful sand storms. Guess not! Take it to Sean. He'll be excited."

Return to Sean at the capital.

Sean Trenwell says, "Now that I'm in office, I can finally set some of my ideas into action. The marketplace could definitely use some attention, and I should make sure everything at the museum is going well."

You say, "I have searched the crash site."

Sean Trenwell says, "Well returned! Did you find anything?"

    You say, Yes, I did."

Sean Trenwell says, "What did you find? Can I see it? Does it mention my ancestor? Let me have it, please."

    You say, "Here you are."

Sean Trenwell says, "Oh no. This isn't good. If the governor finds out that I'm related to such a person, she may just kick me out of office. Here, take it back. Tell
you what. If you find some way to destroy it, I'll give you something. Just... get rid of it!"

    You say, "How?"

Sean Trenwell says, "I have a contact with whom you can meet. He has ways of destroying information. Please seek him out. And whatever you do, do not give it to anyone else! This is my career we're talking about here. You'll know where to find him."

Follow the waypoint to the contact, he's approximately 300m away in the bad part of town.

Contact says, "So, he's got himself into more trouble I see. I just heard the news. Let me have that disk. He'll be grateful to you."

    You say, "Here you go."

Contact says, "It's finished. Go tell him the good news.
He and his career are safe."

    Return to Sean.

Sean Trenwell says, "Now that I'm in office, I can finally set some of my ideas into action. The marketplace could definitely use some attention, and I should make sure everything at the museum is going well."

You say, " I spoke to your contact about the disk from the crash site."

Sean Trenwell says, "And has the disk been dealt with?"

You say, "Yes, the disk has been taken care of."

Sean Trenwell says, "Finally! I'm so grateful to you. Please, take this as my token of eternal gratitude."

To vote in the Bestine election, you have to do the following things:

      (1) Talk to a lady who is on the steps just inside the entrance of the City Hall building. She tells you a bit about the election and directs you to see the Governor.

      (2) Go to the Governor (a lady in an office close to Victor's office) and talk to her. She will tell you to seek out info on the two candidates.

      (3) Go to Victor's office and talk to him, he will say a few things, you pick the right responses and join his campaign. He will give you a campaign disk showing you've joined him, and tell you to talk to his secretary.

      (4) Secretary is in the same room with Victor, she'll say some stuff and tell you to download data from a computer, which is just inside the door of Victor's office. When you click on it, you get a DOWNLOAD option.

      (5) Now return to the governor's office and she will now allow you to cast your vote for Victor.

      (6) If you return to Victor, he will thank you for supporting him and promise to give you a gift if he wins the election.

Does anyone know when this election occurs?  I've already voted for him, and I'm looking forward to trying to get this painting.

I assume that the system will send an e-mail when it does happen?

This painting is Seans in office quest, you can get it regardless of wether or not you voted for him or Victor, or voted at all so long as Sean is in office.

The system does NOT send a game mail telling you when the election is over or who wins, you need to check manually.

The Bestine election runs on a 3 month cycle. Vote for a month, have him for the next two. I voted for Seans second term in office on Starsider last week, so they should still be in a voting stage. Not exactly sure when this voting period ends, wasn't looking at the calendar when it started.

If Sean wins and you voted for him you have a 50/50 chance of getting a decorative rug or a Wierd Statue, that looks identical to the blue statue Architects can craft. Whatever you do, don't destroy the election disk you get when you vote, it's needed to get the vote thank you gift.

I guess the voting stage is over. i just recieved the painting and tried to vote, but teh terminals only allow me to examine them. My friend just completed this and received the rug, I knew i should have done it sooner.
