Uhhh, yeah, pretty damned sure. I used the schematic, it added it to my datapad, and then I built the tool. I didn't go back and check to see if it was still in my datapad schematics list or not. BUt I defintely got this, and have the tool now.
I just completed the quest today. He wasn't there yesterday before the Dec. 4th patch though. The statue is now like the disk from the Cries of Alderan part 2 quest. It can no longer be put in backpacks or dropped in houses. Since I couldn't do that, I finished the quest and then bought one from the bazaar....low and behold, it's the same.
Yes, If you abort the mission you get to keep the statue. Happened to me when I accepted and the waypoint was messed up. I still had the statue in inventory. Went back to get the mission again and he gave me another statue, so now I had two. However, when I completed the mission they both disappeared.
