These are just random criminal missions. Guy at Endor outpost (the one near the top, I forget the name) gave me these exact same missions.                                                   

  I got an accolade badge when i was in moenia's cantina for killing a stromtrooper, what does it mean? it says brave soldier does that me i killed a hard npc?

I found him in the cantina in Wayfar. He was in the back room. Itzossk was his name if that helps? :P I cycled through about 10 missions before I got the Dark Jedi Medallion mission.

This guy can also be found in Dearic Talus. Exit the Starport, walk left, around to where the nitwit spawn is, (Small Cul-de-sac behind starport) he is opposite this spawn on the right of the alleyway, leading to the wilderness.
I got the holocron shards. I then spoke again and he tried to get me to do something else with shards but i got no waypoint and all he says is "I need to you to finish that task quickly" (not a quote but words to that effect)I will try to have another pop at this. If anything comes up ill let uas all know.

Holocron shards are not worthless as some people say.  You must have it to complete the dark jedi quest and that is why they give it to you. The dark jedi quest might be pretty important to you if you seek to open a slot (though I don't know for sure if it is at all critical to openning the slot. Just that all my friends and those who i have read about have done the jedi quests to completion.) So for someone to say the shards are not useful, that would be incorrect because they are mandatory to complete the jedi quest for the dark brother.

I encountered him in the city with the opera house, These must be random missions, they dont even save as opposed to the terminal ones. the other thing that annoys me about these missions is sometimes they just dissapear, I did an escort on correlia, go their met him, told him to follow and then he just dissapeared. and this one i was attacked by the thug, retreated a little to heal and right before my eyes he just vanished

If u go to the ruined jedi academy on dantooine there is a dark jedi who will give u missions that lead to holocron shards....easy missions if ur elite/hybrid fighting profession                                                   

holorond shards do nothing , there worth nothing and does even show up onyou when you put it on. so i dont know why you would want to do this quest

and i looked ALL over for this guy in mos taike, and bestine..nothing..no ita gareo..on another forum they say he has another name.. but how can that be? if thats true, there no telling where or gives these missions anymore.. any other interesting WP on shards, or holo's??                         

I have Holocron Shards and I can't do anything with them - anyone know what they are for?                                                   

im in mos taike now he aint here lol i did find some dude giving me stuff like a loadspeaker & stuff for the dark sun guys like mostly delivery missions to a thug

what ppl dont know about these missions are, they're random as all hell. The only way you can discern them from each other is by the npc's profession. For instances go out in the desert and run into a hermit or go to naboo and run into a gungan outlaw... done that? good...

Now when you find them talk to them, accept their mission, then decline it. Yes i said decline it. Then try to get another mission again. And decline that one. Just keep doing this and you'll eventually find out that threres practially and endless supply of missions per profession.

I ran into a gungan out law and i was gonna do a crafing mission for him but i didnt want to do it so declined it. But then i had second thoughts and wanted to do the mission again. I went back to him to try to get the mission but i cycled through the different missions for at least 5 mins and i didnt run into the same mission. Be warned NPC have anywhere from 3 missions to 100 missions(exaggerating of course).

He is in the tavern, and the reward is Holocron shards.
