I completed this mission in April 2004 on Ahazi server with positive Jabba, and negative Hutt factions.

Quest Details: "Reelo Baruk wants you to find Valarian's thugs who have meen hanging around out near the palace.  They are to be destroyed."

This was a destroy mission. Target was 4 'Valarian's thief' (821-899 HAM's) (Valarian faction).

Reward for mission completion: 150 credits

You ask: "Who's Lady Valarin?"

Reelo replies: "She's a lowlife, small-time gangster that operates out of the Lucky Despot in Mos Eisley.  She's a constant thorn in Jabba's side, so whenever we get the chance, we do some damage to her opperations. So, can you help?"

You say: "Of course. I'll get right to it."

Reelo replies: "Great. I'll give you their last known location and you can take care of it. When you get back I'll see what else we have that needs to be done."

Upon mission completion, Reelo says: "Excellent work. I hear people talking about you in the halls now. You're going to move up in this operation. I can feel it."

I started the Jabba theme quest with about -190 Hutt Faction, and positive Jabba faction. My Borvo is slightly negative. After seeing how Lady Val is, I was, ugh, no way! I should have left Borvo alone. Oh well. The Lady should have been taken out first. Still trying to figure out how to raise that darn Hutt Faction.

Seeing as how I had no negative Lady Val faction, yet, my best way of handling the situation was to walk up to the middle of the group (one of them was glowing with the waypoint), tapped him on the shoulder, then lopped his head off. And thus the chasing ensues (mutters about blaster wielding folks).

Faction wise, if you're worried about that, is that you will lose 100 Lady Val, but gain 50 for Jabba, per kill. Simple enough.

I got a combat knife.                                                                             

its because someone must have ran by the wp and killed your marks. relieving you of the obligation, but you still recieve the faction and reward.                                                   

Here's an odd one...it gave me the waypoint and when I was about half way there, it came up and said that it was all complete and I should report back to Jabba's Palace for my reward...and as for the reward: how lame.                                      

This time its a Dagger...
