I completed this mission in April 2005 on Ahazi server after the Publish 6/ Theme park reset with Positive Jabba, Negative Hutt Factions.
QUEST DETAILS: Find and destroy the kaduu that is being delivered to Prefect Talmont. Return to Porcellis with the meat from the beast.
This is a destroy/delivery mission. 2 mercenaries (1200ish HAM) guarding a Kaduu immediately attacked me with ranged weapons. 1 kaduu (2029 HAM) is the target. A Petrified Avian egg is placed in your main inventory after killing Kaduu. Egg removed from main inventory upon mission completion. (How a petrified egg tastes like meat, I will never understand)
The waypoint was generated 1098m from mission start & objective was at assigned wp the first time mission was attempted.
You ask: What kind of meat are we talking about here?
Porcellus replies: For Jabbas dinner tonight, I am preparing him a succulent plate of charbroiled sand-maggot kidneys, served with a chilled carafe of fermented worrt milk. Is this elegant meal enough for him? NO! Jabba wants kaduu meat, which he heard Prefect Talmont is importing for a regal Imperial party hes hosting. Bah! Hes so finicky!
You say: A full belly keeps Jabba happy, I hear. Sure, Ill do it.
Porcellus replise: I am quite overjoyed to hear you can help! Prefect Talmint has paid a lot of credits to have a kaduu transported here to Tatooine. After its unloaded and is being escorted to Prefect Talmonts mansion, all you need to do is intercept Talmonts toadies, kill the beastie, and bring me back a good slice from its haunches. Ill wait, friend.
As with the Meat Beast, this one is more interesting if you abort it.
When you kill the Kaadu you get a Petrified Avian Egg in your inventory. This is actually a very interesting looking item that's a red crystal set in a stone base. Stick it in your backpack and go talk to Porcellus. Abort the quest, and take it again. Now you've got one to display in your house and one for Porcellus.
There are a lot of quests like this, where the delivery item is more interesting than the paltry credits or silly item that is your "reward". Whenever you succeed at your objective, look in your inventory to see if you have something that's worth holding onto. That's where all those bantha dolls, paintings, AT ST helmet and so on and so forth come from.
He's referring to the quest in Mos Taike where you must kill a stranded AT-ST pilot who is deceitfully called a dangerous escapee by the Quest NPC. When you kill him, you receive an unequippable AT-ST helmet that you're supposed to return for some edibles. But we all know which one we want. =)
