G-5PO MISSION # 3.5??

THE 4TH MISSION I RECEIVED FROM G-5PO WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE LISTED IN THE CURRENT QUEST INFO LISTED ABOVE.  THE INFORMATION LISTED BELOW IS WHAT I RECEIVED. ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS ENCOUNTERED THIS NEW MISSION, PLEASE POST YOUR FINDINGS AS TO WHETHER I HAVE LOST TRACK OR YOU EXPERIENCED THE SAME ONE AS I HAVE.

I have encountered a �missing� mission for G-5PO during my employment within Jabba�s palace. As this �missing� mission takes place between what is currently described here as missions #3 and 4, I have filed this one as �G-5PO mission #3.5, Eliminate the Strike Team� in my personal files.

If the Hutts catch up with me and find this disc before I can make it back to the Alliance, then trust that my spirit will protect you through the will of the Force. Good luck and good hunting.

QUEST TEXT:

G-5PO says, �Jabba is furious over the contents of the recovered message. It included a schedule of guard changes, which Lady Valarian�s thugs plan to use to infiltrate the Palace. The Resplendent Jabba wishes you to locate Valarian�s incomming strike team and deal with them accordingly.�

You ask, �What type of strike team are we talking about here, Jabba?�

G-5PO replies, �Jabba explains that the strike team�s membership is still a secret. It could include some of Lady Valarian�s lowly thugs, or perhaps trained commandos. Jaba the Hutt, in his sagacity, places his full faith in your ability to handle this mild annoyance.�

You say, �Now that sounds like some good action! I�ll do this one for free!�

G-5PO replies, �Excellent! Now perhaps Jabba will stop blaming everything on me! As usual, the Glorious Jabba will expect this task to be completed quickly.�

Upon mission completion, G-5PO says, �Jabab the Hutt says that his next imbibed drink will be dedicated to you, for your brashness and skill. That is quite an honor, indeed. You should me most gratefull for that, and for this reward he has offered you.�


QUEST DETAILS: �Find and kill the traitor. Jabaa will not have this in his home.�

Yep, the quest details have been switched between this mission and the last.

This was a destroy mission. 3 Valarian Thugs (1010-1150 HAM) guarding the �Valarian Strike Team Leader� (3365 HAM). Kill the team leader for mission success.

The way point generated 1207m from mission start & the objective was at assigned WP the first time mission was attempted.

Reward for mission completion: 1650 credits

IN ORDER TO KEEP A COMPLETE RECORD OF MY EXPERIENCES IN JABBA�S PALACE, I HAVE POSTED ALL INFORMATION I HAVE GATHERED PERTAINING TO THE �MISSING� MISSION HERE AS WELL AS THOSE OBSERVATIONS I HAVE MADE CONCERNING THE MISSION THAT IS CURRENTLY DESCRIBED HERE. I HAVE NUMBERED THE MISSING MISSION AS #3.5 SO IT WILL FIT WITHIN THE CURRENT NUMBERING SCHEME.

Quest information for the Smuggler intercept/payoff mission (Outbid Valarian):

QUEST DETAILS: �Retrieve the merchandise from Jabba�s friend the smuggler.�

A �locked briefcase� was placed in my main inventory upon accepting the mission.

This was a simple delivery mission with no spawned opposition. My contact �Belshu Dadar� took the briefcase from my main inventory after conversing with him.

The way point generated 838m from mission start & the objective was at assigned WP the first time the mission was attempted.

Reward for mission completion: 1750 credits. No faction points were awarded.

ADDITIONAL QUEST TEXT concerning the Smuggler intercept/payoff mission:

You ask, �What will I be buying from this smuggler?�

G-%PO replies, �The wise Jabba says that you ask to many questions.  He has graciously allowed you this information: The smuggler supposedly works for Black Sun, which has chosen to do business with Lady Valarian. Jabba does not know what Valarian is buying, and this displeases him.�

You say, �Hmmm� sounds important. Yea, I�ll do it for Jabba.�

G-5PO continues, �That is so good to hear! Of course, what I mean to say is that Jabba is satisfied with your initiative and will expect this mission to be completed shortly.�

Upon mission completion, G-5PO says, �His Imperiousmess, Jabba the Hutt wishes to commend you for a job well done, Please inquire later about any further jobs Jabba may have for you. Oh, and yet another reward has been granted to you, Jabba�s most favored employee.

OK - don't do this with a nearly full inventory otherwise you can't get the briefcase of cash to give to him. There's no warning, error etc.. you just don't get the case and wander around trying to figure out why he won't talk to you.                                      

When I do this and he asks me "Are you the guy?", I don't get anyway of confirming. I've done it twice now with the same problem. I have -3200 Thug faction but that's supposed to be fixed.

There are 2 missions prior to this. The website incorrectly lists #2 as #4, and does not list #3 and #4 at all. They both consist of assassinating a 3k HAM target and a few 1k HAM guards. Rewards are a fishing pole and 25 acid stream launchers, respectively.                                      

This is mission #5. Easy talk to mission, just 2 guards.

Reward: Spraystick (rifle). Att Spd 2.0, Damage Energy 7-77, Wound 12.0%, Range -20/0/-60, Cost H15/A46/M46                                                   

NOTE *Faction bug is fixed.. I have neg 4k Thug faction and was able to do this...

This mission can't be completed by anyone that has a high negative thug faction rating. It's a bug - so you can't advance past this.
