The weak mercenary was bigger threat then the thug

you do NOT need to take merc out, only the thug so if you can lure merc away, thugs no big match.

for me the merc did plenty o Knockdown attacks with a staff.... nasty damage                                      

i accidentaly destroyed the disk after i completed the first part if this mission, not knowing that it actually served a puropse, and went to meet the guy who decodes it, and now i can't talk to him. is there any way to reset the mission back to stage one?
                                      

I completed this mission in April 2004 on Ahazi server after the Publish 6/ Theme park reset with positive Jabba & negative Hutt Faction standings.

QUEST DETAILS: �Kill Valarian�s thug.  He has a special code cylinder that Barada wants you to bring back to him.�

This is a destroy/delivery mission. 1 �Weak Mercenary� (10361 HAM) (Had 30% Kinetic & 20% Energy protection. Went melee against me) & 1 Valarian Thug (3127 HAM). A corrupted data disk is placed in your main inventory after killing Mercenary. Return it to Barada for mission completion.

The waypoint generated 1074m from mission start & objective was at assigned wp the first time mission was attempted.

Reward for mission completion: 850 credits

Had a weak mercenary (9K HAM) there. The actual thug had 3K.

Reward: 5 Thermal Detonators - Att speed 6.0, damage 70 - 280, radius 7.0, wound 7.0%, range mods -10, +10, -30, Cost H97, A97, M45                                      

Reward is a.... 5 count stack of Thermal Grenades.
