    Details:
(5+ people, bring help, lots of it)

Before doing these quests, you need to do the quests by Kaja, Loam and Hethrir, in that order. Captain Thrawn is on the balcony inback of the retreat. You access it by going through the door right next to Lord Hethrir's door, then going down the hallway and making the first left at the fork the going straight out the small door. He's standing (currently naked and blue) next to Colonel Veers outside. He's a bit nicer, but in a mean way.

There are currently four ways to do this mission. It is the most difficult mission in any set in the Emperor's Retreat. It consists of travelling to your waypoint and killing a very large very tough dinosaur looking thing called a Fambaa.

    A. Kite it. Old fashioned running and gunning. I did this, it took 35 minutes.

    B. Get the Rebels to kill it! Run around the fambaa a bit and look for NPC humanoids (517 used rebels) and kite the Fambaa into them and they will help you kill it. This is a modified version of A.

    C. Use the snag bug. Run the Fambaa around until he lodges in a tree (similar to how some people kill Kimoligas solo) then shoot it to death. This bug is still in the game.

    D. Bring lots of help. At 5 specialists in your group, this thing turns yellow. With 3 in your group, if you're good and all have warning shot, you can use that to mix up body/head/leg shots together and chase it off when you get low on HAM bars.

Fambaa had 9K HAM. I just dragged it into a group of storm troopers :)

Reward: 40 Imp FP and a 5 use Fragmentation Grenade. Armor Piercing: Light, Speed: 5.0, Damage: Blast 35-210, Radius 7.0, Wound 7.0%, Range: -10/10/-30, Cost: 104/104/19

(Staff Sgt) Crafter with Pistol-IV...  Ooooh, big test... Had to pull out my Heavy Fighter (Adv Probot with max'd Combat Modules) ... And still unbuffed... No helmet, no bracers, no gloves. Composite armour on the covered areas.

Just me, the Probot and a lone Trooper who I ran across...

10K Health (rest were lower) ... No specials used...

Came close to being KO'd, but it went well overall.

The item you will retrieve is known as a "Decorative Shisha" which is a little round metallic thingy. Kinda like a Coffee service unit. Or a hooka thingy.

Anyway, turned in to Thrawn and he likes it.

Reward given is 1125c, nothing else in terms of items or factions.

      1. Engage this thing from the maximum distance your weapon allows.

      2. Use as many bleeds as you can at the onset, but DON'T SPAM SPECIALS until it's nearly depleted on said bar.  If these things catch up with you they can do a lot of damage quickly and you don't want to be low on a specific bar since you panicked and spammed specials.

      3. Don't worry if you get incapped, they don't DB. Siddown, heal, and get back to work, AGAIN engaging from maximum range.

      4. If I can advise anyone to WAIT I'd say to not take this mission until you get at least a III or IV (preferably IV as they give you the first weapon-specific bleed for the particular tree or specialist in a particular weapon for the second stackable bleedshot) level cert on a weapon and Warning Shot+Peace and Threaten Shot. The latter two help immensely, the first to send it AWAY from you at first and the second to be able to kite it long distances if need be.

These are easy single, but you need to be pretty decent to take on more than two solo. I did mine with almost no help - the only reason anyone else shot at it was because he needed carbine XP and he was a friend of mine, and the bitch was on it's last legs.

Not sure if this can be done, but couldnt you just get a bio-engineer go up and sample it to death?  I have had bunches of fun "fambaa tipping" as I call it running around and sampling the fambaas until they fall over.

Bang, done in a minute or so, and very little risk to you.
