The Selonians will attack you, just kill them and then /conv jermo, you don't need to escort him back (you never do on these missions, just talk to them is enough), just hop on your swoop and go talk to Sal-Solo, mission accomplished                                      

I completed this mission by going out to the beacon provided by Thracken Sal-Solo. (Btw the name in the quest info is wrong for him)  Once I got close (Around 128m) I started walking closer till I could see the two selonians on radar. I then narrowed my radar down to 64m and approached slowly till they came out after me. I killed them and then proceeded to Jermo. He followed me to the city and once I got close he just stopped. (He stopped close to the rivers edge on the northeast side of the city.) I left him there went and talked to Thracken and he said mission completed and I got my 200 credits.

I have tried doing this mission three times and every time I come in range of him his Selorian friends run at me and attack.  If I get a shot off them my mission fails. Sucky if you ask me.
