The thug is quite weak and easy to kill, so if you have to kill him it isnt an undaunting task. The reward doubles for each new mission, and you never have to dig something out of your inventory. You do need to bring Ara back to him in the second mission pretty simple but you have to kill the Corsec Trooopers gone bad around her. I found I killed two of them and the third ( might have been a 4th ) wondered far enough away that she followed me. She says "These guys are traitors kill them" or something to that affect first so you need to atleast attack them, kill one, get others to wonder off away from her.

how do you give the card to Talon?  Am i stupid? I talk to him and try to click it in my inventory but I cant seem to give it to him. I tried using /give disk and all this other stuff but I cant seem to transfer it to him. Im sure there is something simple I need to do.                         

You retieve the disk by taking it off of his cold dead body.                                                                

Be sure that when you get back to Karrde, you actually give him the disk. I may be a total dummy but I didn't realize this at first and ended up doing the quest again before I noticed the disk in my inventory.                                      

he attacks you after you kill the thug with him asking if karde sent you.  i tried to talk to him and to not fight, but he was determined to die. : (                                                   

Your supposed to kill Ara and the Thug?
Thought it was supposed to be a retrieval mission (Retrieve the disk?)?
