    Proceed to the waypoint.

Upon arriving at the waypoint you will see an imperial soldier named Sgt. Montage, once you open fire on him an additional Stormtrooper spawns when Sgt. Montage yells:

Facing a yellow imperial SGT and a deep red Storm trooer alone with no pets was a difficult task, after killing the imperials you must loot SGT. Montages body to retrieve the compound and then return to Qual'do to complete the mission.

Ok I found this one interesting after reading the other posts about it. I had the Sgt and one ST out there.  Due to there locations I could only get about 35m out. I have novice rifleman and was able to take out the SGT and the ST by myself. I got 5 headshots off on the Sgt while laying prone...then they both started to shoot at me. 2 More head shots and the Sgt was dead...then I focused on the storm trooper got 4 head shots then had to start running and using overcharge shot one but I got him take down. It was hard I had to heal 3 times and I got nothing off of either corpus but I did get Faction Points for the mission. Good Luck to all Slayar

Comment: Combat profile of Master Marksman/Novice Rifleman here (Novice Dancer/Novice Merchant/almost Master Scout).

The Sergeant does have two stormtroopers with him. Being covert, and going prone at 63m was no problem. Wait a bit. There was only one stormtrooper, not sure what happened to his partner. Missed the first headshot, but got in three more (kept on running out of range) and he fell. TEF, but the stormtrooper never ran to assist. He *DID* come after me when I decided to be stupid and toss a shot his way. Needless to say, I came close to killing the stormtrooper, but he incapcitated me, then killed me.

I should have gone to base when mission was completed after killing the Sergeant.

No faction recieved, other than when you kill the Sergeant (-25Imp/+17Reb).

No reward item, much less looted the body. Just cash payment.

Still unable to restart the theme quest to see what reward there were.

Basically, don't need to loot the poor Sergeant, unless you really want to. Once mission is completed (ie, your mark is taken down), you're done. Anything else is pretty much extra icing.

Droid Battery, 2 Broken Viewers, a Swoop Helmet, a proclamation, and a speaker.

Got killed 3 times in the process so I gave up and will try again later, but I am sure that the rewards are broken. I didn't see if you got any faction for them, but I did get the items and credits.

so are these missions broken? or am i cant seem to figure out why I (and several others) are not getting faction points.

SGT Sargon is the guy you need to axe.  He has two stormtrooper "pets". There are two more who wander away from him, but his pets always stay on top of him.

I tried to solo him 3 times, unsuccefully when he conned yellow. As of 8/23/03 patch he was red to me. Figured would try it some more when he was red, I'm an idiot. I died once, got the courage back to try again. This time had a plan....

Be covert with no TEF, get 64 meters from Sargon. Send pet to attack stormtrooper pets, then dot the sgt as soon as pet engages and move back before he goes prone. The pet is on the ST's as fodder. SGT will chase after you. Eventually he'll get far enough away from his pet ST's, that when your pet dies they will not assist him.

Pay real close attention to your surroundings, nothing like running up on some Imps while the tef is on.

Basically I ran around with the sgt dotted, he ALWAYS goes prone when he gets within 60m, giving you a chance to get out of range to heal up and let dots soak in some more.

It was a long long fight, took 2 full rounds of bleeding shot, and started on 3rd, but I eventually got him. Got 1800ish pistol xp, 13 rebel faction, and looted the item. I was just proud I soloed a red npc :)

Basicly it means even if you are covert opposing faction PC/NPCs will be able to attack you. You get them after attacking NPCs of the opposing faction or joining a battlefield. Not sure how long they last but they do eventually dissapate.

I have a problem though that if they're going to use the central Char. from the movie, they should make the missions harder, and give you some big stuff. Or not allow you to see these folks. I mean, i know it's just a game. But these Char. are big, so give them big impact on the game! Maybe they will in the future.

Once you reach this mission, you need a team to complete the rest of the series.  A minimum of two players can work, and 3-4 is better.

A tip here: You will usually notice a bunch of Rebel NPC's nearby for this mission (and others). Once you engage the Stormtrooper, you run up by them and they will jump in and help you (this is VERY useful if you are solo like I was). Usually they can beat down the trooper, and will also help with the Sargent.

I have been told that after Qual'do, you get some tougher missions from Wedge Antilles, but then you progress to some for Princess Leia that are easier. Hope that encourages some of you!

As before, rewards seem to be minor quantities of resources (avian bones, etc). Note that you often get an odd device which seems to be only a mission token. Destroying that device seems to abort the mission, and you get it all over again when you next talk to Qual'do (or whomever gave it to you). That worked twice for me, so it might be a way to get past messed up missions.

I do think it is unfortunate that you don't get Rebel faction points for these missions, like you do for the rest of them. I mean, I get good points for the missions I get from the wandering Rebel NPC's, so why not here? It was definitely fun to meet major SWG characters though.

working on this mission is a pain. 1), there's no faction pts awarded, 2) if you get incapped, it is deemed a failure, and 3) if you die, it's a looong walk back to the base from Kor Vella.  I've talked to 10-15 people about these missions and none of them have gotten faction pts for them, the rewards are junk, but it is pretty neat seeing how tiny Leia , Chewwie, and Han (on Lok) are. Detailed, yes, but tiny. Unless I'm just a huge twi'lek.
