We just wanted to say thank you to all who participated in the first series of Restuss Events last night on Ahazi, Bloodfin, Radiant, Scylla, Eclipse and Naritus. The Battle of Restuss is the first of its kind for SWG or any other MMO, and we are glad that so many people logged in to check it out! We do consider this a learning experience and did monitor server performance last night. We know many players had some issues with lag and overall performance. A couple of servers had some problems switching over the event. We apologize to those of you who experienced any difficulties. With this in mind, we are planning on pushing out a fix the beginning of next week that we hope will improve server and client-side performance. This should help all players during upcoming Restuss Events as well as any other future large-scale in-game events.

On a side note, the TIE fighters/Xwings flying over looked great, the overall "feel" was awesome. Unfortunately, the actual battle was pretty disappointing. I did however, have a blast after I relogged in and we were fighting around the bases.

I didnt get my badge and an everquest GM replied to my ticket telling me i Won't get it either when my friend who was lagged out most of the time did ....

While it was fun, even as a lag fest, would be nice to have been able to enjoy it with better performance. How about setting up a dev event for the servers that have already done phase 2 where you bring in npc's in restuss again
PS - Is the second badge a Live Event badge, or earned somehow else? Most of us didn't get the second badge, and want to know why?

You should not be using paying customers as "test" subjects.
Also - it wasn't "some" people, it was almost all the people I saw running, ahem, standing around while all the pretty effects went off.....

The event seemed like it would have been fun without the lag, it seems it was not really the people lagging so much (most in my guild had over 15 fps and a regular ping) as the server side lag, we got 5 secs a fighting and then about 1 min of nothing, for real. I personaly thought the "big boom" and the following after was a great effect. Its to bad the the seemingly very cool event had to be dampend by the massive ammount of lag.
