You don't have a choice when cloning. It only gives you the Player City as an option if that's the closest one.

 




Take a look at the most recent patch notes.

They changed it to 2 min.

Taurin, no offense but you don't know crap about what is going on here.

1) If you cloned at the player city cloning center, get banned then clone, you clone on the spot.

2) When you clone on the spot, you stay TEF'd from the last time you got killed, so the militia can put you down again.

3) Go back to step #2 until they decide to leave you alone (usually after all your gear is destroyed and your HAM is black).

This is a VERY REAL ISSUE! And it's happening a lot on the Kauri server. Not two days ago I had two members of my guild lose every piece of gear they own that was decayable.

I don't know if this is the way the system is intended to work, but this is the way it IS WORKING. Please address this issue ASAP.

Yeah, cityban shouldn't ban from cloning centers. Some rebels built a city just outside the imperial base that is full of darktroopers. We naturally defend the empire (and keep them from farming holocrons) so the rebels proceed to ban us from their cloning facillity.

We've also been forced to use AoE attacks to get a tef and kill the DT's ourself because there is no comparable location for Imps to get as many holocron opportunities (it would be like a base full of surface marshalls).

What I was trying to say was mis read I can see.

 I'll explain it alittle more in detail sorry for not explaining it right the first time.

 

 1. Joe blow comes to town cloned off world and your city is so big it takes a full burst run to go from one end to the center of town.

2. He makes your militia mad and gets ban'ed but can stay around shouting insults.

3. He's warned and is only given 30 secs to leave town. This is how its actually working.

4. He trys to run and gets incaped in 1 shot by a master weaponsmith who used to weild a scatter pistol but traded it for a crafting tool.

 5. Master weaponsmith then deathblows the baned and warned person thinking he would clone at wayfar. Only he can not clone in wayfar because ive died before outside my city within range of the clone facility and only one that shows up as closest and insured at facility is my towns facility.  We are close enough to wayfar that wayfar was the closest facility.

6. Master weaponsmith is surprised to see him respawn in the same spot attackable again.

7. Joe blow shouts an insult again, thinking hes fine, only to find out master weaponsmith incaps and deathblows him again.

8. Just because he was stupid the first 2 times master weaponsmiths decides to deathblow him again.

9. The guy finaly leaves town still attackable and only able to walk out of town because they've killed his mount.

Does this help explain what "could" happen and hopefully show a bug or two in the system that is supposed to be 2mins?

I dont mean for this to sound like im raging on dev team or calling anyone dumb, infact im trying to explain it in a way I can hopefully show you that something is broken somewhere.

I think my first post was poorly done and didnt get my point across, hard to do in text but dewy knows im never good at it.

(3) has been changed, it is now a two minute warning.
(6) should now be fixed because when you die you lose the citywarn tef

And from reading the posts in this thread, all of this applies to the Test Center Server becaue this is the Test Center Forum.

 Something you might want to look into and maybe change a few things to stop it from happening on a mass scale before it gets out of hand.

 

 And if your someone who thought it might be cool to mess with poeples citys I would read this and think twice..

Its 30 seconds to be attackable, not 2 mins.  Also if the city is large enough and you are already wounded you cant burst run out.  There is a problem here mr dev guy.

somebody could really grief in 2 mins, they could run around and do stuff for 1:45 then just run out of city limits and come back in and do stuff for another minute etc....the point of a milita is to warn griefers, and if they wana grief 2 mins is more than enough time for them to do so.

I don't believe it's an exploit just because a player forgets to clone when they first arrive on a planet. There's no need to go around changing code because of laziness/foregetfulness. I only needed one 5% decay death to instill the need to clone upon arrival to a planet.

 

In reference to the 'loading time' issue. Why are you logged out in an unfriendly/unkown city to begin with. Try logging out outside city limits to avoid this.
