I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris Cao and I'm the Creative Director for SWG. I'm responsible for design team oversight on SWG (e.g. the designers and processes used to generate the game). I was previously the Lead Designer on EverQuest II before moving over to the SWG team.
This introduction and my contact with the community has been delayed far too long. I apologize for that.
This post is the first step in correcting that oversight. Besides myself, look for the other designers on the SWG team to introduce themselves and their areas of expertise within the coming days. Expect to see designers responsible for quests, items, characters, special abilities and general systems to engage you on the specifics of those topics. In addition, look for the designers dedicated to the live game to use these boards, polls and their personal posts as a point of interaction and a resource for rapidly improving the live game.
There's a lot to talk about. While we won't be able to jump on every post or act on every request, we will listen, ask questions and use your feedback to inform our day-to-day design decisions. Your game experiences, good and bad, are the foundational feedback we will use in continuing to enhance and develop the game. Post your opions, your bugs, your insights and your ideas.

We're here. We're listening. We're answering.
See you on the boards, see you in game!

Welcome aboard, I guess you've been here since September. Good luck, but there seems to be a high turnover ratio when it comes to people working on this game. But good luck to you sir, and I hope the efforts of you and your team actually make this game more fun, and the servers flourish with players once again.
First of all, welcome! And thank you for introducing yourself!
As one who has been here from the launch of SWG and having heard SOE and its broken promises before, you will understand my reservation that anything is actually any differnet now than in the past.
Assuming that things are changing though, I am glad to see SOE taking this step, it has never been more needed than now.
Please do not dissapoint the community again!
----- The Eternal Wanderer has wandered completely out of the SWG universe somehow and now finds herself enjoying The Saga of Ryzom. It is most of what SWG could have been, and many things it never will be. (Please PM me if you would like to know more)
