Answer one, ask one.... So Local Bonsuses have to do with the state of the War on your server. The Big Patch converted 6 (i think 6) areas into NPC controlled places. As Rebel and Imperial PC groups take control of the areas, the Galactic War shifts. At Break-even (3 each side) you get your faction points. With the Imperial side ahead, Imps get +10% faction points, Rebels get -30% points, etc etc.
Now my question: At one point Zabrak and Humans both got 1:1 on faction points exchanges. With Rodian/Trand getting 2:1, Wookies 3:1 .. not sure about Twi-Leks (2:1 ?) Other postings in this thread have suggested Zabraks are now 2:1.... is that true? I don't need specualtion, but if anyone has any input.. please add it... Thanks!

"Your generic TIE grunt is just plain suicidal. And the TIE defender jockey is bloodthursty. But the TIE interceptor pilot, he's suicidal AND bloodthursty. When you see a squad of those maniacs flying your way, you'd better hope your hyperdrive is operational." ~Kyle Katarn
Oh yeah, two quick questions. As your rank goes up, do prices decrease? I would think that if you're a high general, your race wouldn't matter when buying stuff because they know you're loyal to their cause. Also, can anyone confirm regional discounts? And if they do exist, where can I get a Dark Trooper for cheap?
zabaraks i can more than confirm is 2:1 which is crap because everything said that zabaracks would be 1:1 when the game came out. if the devs arent idiots they should go back to what they announced to begin with and not screw the people that listened to everything that was said by them and went zabarack thinking that they would get 1:1.
i do have a question. are the installations destroyable, like the HQ: Detachment Headquaters. i ask this mainly because turrets are listed in the same group and those i would assume are destroyable.
Greetings. I deleted all of my non-human characters because of the racial penalties. I can handle 1.5:1 or 2:1, but 3:1 is **edit**ing unreasonable. It makes sense for wookiees, and honestly I don't think wookiee players should expect any different. Rodians are 3:1 which is bs. A trando friend said he was too, though I'm not sure if he knows the base prices compared to his and I forgot to ask. Mon Cals and Wookiees should be 3:1. Twi'leks and Zabraks should be 1.5:1. Rodians and Trandos should be 2:1.
DEVs.. not sure if you read on to page 3, but.... what the heck... Could you PLEASE reconsider the faction exchange rate?!?!?! Zabraks should b 1:1... I can't change my character race like I can a class.. I don't have the time to start ALL over... I will just live it out for another month or so and then cancel my monthly service.. If something gets nerfed in a class, you can trade back for skill points, but punishing players for following a race that was clearly cited as 1:1 in all beginning publications is a bit mean I think. Wookies getting 3:1 makes sense based on the movies, Mon Calamari, etc all make sense too, but all publications cited Humans and Zabraks as 1:1.... I am trying to get one Dark Trooper but 4200 fps is a bit crazy!!!

I'm not sure if it has been said before in this thread, but the costs listed are for servers where the Galactic empire is losing the civil war, hence they get a 30%(I think) reduction to all faction perk costs.

Why do you say that? According to /cswg command (and all other information available - like comparing to other servers) these are costs for winning/tied side. If yours are higher it's probably because you are not human.
I don't know if any of the other replies has said anything here, but it should be noted these perk prices reflect the 30% discount because the Empire is "losing" the Galactic Civil War. You can read more how about affects this by going to:
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/manual_detail.jsp?chapter=16
Section 16.3 covers "Swaying the War", which involves capturing perk and NPC headquarters.
If I'm totally incorrect about this, please let me know. I noticed on other sites that, for example, the rebel Detachment HQ is 60,000 FP. 70% of that is 42,000 FP, which is the price of the Imperial HQ.
Unfortunately, this also means those rebel meatheads get a 15% increase on any faction points they earn through missions or killing Imperials.

I checked again and on my server (Chilastra) there is no winning side (/gcw says so), and the prices are accurate as of 8/25/03.
The only way to confirm it is correct is to compare posted prices with the server which looses/wins the war (As per /gcw command), if your server is such server please speak up.
