Pilot Comments: Blue Nova was named cause the texture pattern looked to me like a Nova from a star.  I love the color blue so I put them together and came out with Blue Nova.  In story terms, The Blue Nova was named for the ships unique engine burn as when the main engines and the boosters are ignited at once the particle trace burns similar to a star going SuperNova.   

For story itself I've put together that the Blue Nova was found, near destroyed, floating around an asteroid field, caught in the gravity well of the biggest asteroid of the field while Nisaki was a young Smuggler, but as she grew and took up her true calling as a Jedi with help from her family and friends the ship slowly was restored to what it currently is.  (I know you can only get it from Vader and being an Imperial but I like to think there's a larger game and world out there than what's inside the box so to speak.  SO yes I got my fighter like anyone else did, but when I talk about it that's not how it happened.  :)
