Christmas Outfits Made Easy
A design of three festive outfits
Foreword
I post this guide for three reasons:
- If I post it this year, chances are it'll be improved and even better next year

- I'm not gonna be able to do it on all the servers and it's unfair to withhold this stuff, so I might as well just give the details
- I can't make a large scale production line of these before Xmas Day
So Tailors, feel free to use the info here and make your own copies for your own servers. Hell, if you have the cash make some and hand them out around your local main city's cantina and have a Christmas party in there Make Coronet have a purpose! (Okay, that's a little excessive - But you get my point )
Even better - Feel free to make your own changes to them, whether they are improvements or customisations. I just ask that you post them here for all of us to look at, or if you've made your own (as I know tailors have) post the details here & share them - A tailor's job is to make the customer look as good as they can, and a tip you have might help another Tailor here
Introduction
The aim of this guide is simple - To create a series of "santa" costumes for a considerable portion of the player base to be able to wear around in.
The christmas range here below consists of three outfits - The humanoid male, the humanoid female, and the Ithorian. These cover maybe 80% of the player base - The only race not covered is the Wookiees, who do not have a Christmas outfit for two reasons:
- Whether it being part of Kashyyk culture or not to only use natural tones, the heavily restricted colour palette for Wookiee clothing mean that there isn't a red suitable for christmas clothes (you could try green, but what wookiee would want to go around looking like a giant elf?
)
- Around this time of the year is the Life Day - If a Wookiee wants to fit in, they can grab a Life Day robe which has the same colour as these. A little harsh but Tailors have to do what we can with what we're given

Anyway, the actual outfits
HUMANOID MALE
The outfit is pretty obvious - It's modelled on that fat b***ard Santa
The jacket is a Vested Jacket which with the colour scheme went surprisingly well (It was suggested by a customer). The Warm Hat & leather-looking High Quality Boots look perfect for the santa costume. The comfortable slacks are simply generic and just look to fit in with the rest of the costume.
PARTS - Warm Hat (Headwear) - Vested Jacket (Jacket) - Comfortable Slacks (Pants) - High-Quality Boots (Footwear)
HUMANOID FEMALE
This outfit is designed to be more cool & hip than a santa costume - It's still a christmas outfit, but a more relevant one that complements the figure of a lady - Something a heavy padded jacket doesn't do well :/ The fact that it shows a little skin while keeping in the christmas spirit means that it can be used for dancing without looking too out of place.
The top is simply a red Dress Blouse. Along with it is a Decorative skirt which while not looking dowdy makes it not look tarty as well (sorry to Coronet cantina's regular dancers). The standard boots give the outfit a bit of a "snow bunny" look - Means nothing to everyone else but will to those who like the bunny style.
Get an ID to change a customer's hair to red (like above) or a non-neon green and they should look the part without needing a hat
PARTS - Dress Blouse (Shirt) - Decorative Skirt (Skirt) - Standard Boots (Footwear)
ITHORIAN
The good thing with Ithorians is that they have their own range of clothing rivalling the rest of a Tailor's arsenal combined. The bad thing is despite that, trying to make an Ithorian look like a Santa you'd want to hug and get presents from is still harder than nicking a lightsaber off a Jedi Master. But it was still tried
This outfit is designed to something relevant to an Ithorian christmas outfit. The outfit uses a Two-Pocket Shirt for the white shirt and a Med-Team Jacket for the jacket. The pants are simply red Baggies while on the noggin is a Religion Cap, a little Santa looking but the little discrepancies can be put down as being a modernised version of it (after all, it does kinda look kick ass )
PARTS - Ithorian Religious Cap (Headwear) - Ithorian Two-Pocket Shirt (Shirt) - Ithorian Med-Team Jacket (Jacket) - Ithorian Baggies (Pants)
COLOURS
The thing is mostly red & white, no problem on that front. The only real problem now is what IS red? (White's not really a problem )
First thing I've got to say - www.vanilla-kisses.de/swg. I dunno who created & hosts this (I learnt of this site from another Farstar Tailor before I started doing the trade myself) but I've love to Wookiee-hug them for doing so. This site lists most of the clothes (though missing the Ithorian ones and others like the hooded cloaks) and provides a colour table. It seems a little stupid at first sight, but this site is one that can be useful to Tailors just by referring customers to it rather than guessing what they want.
The reason I mention it is so I can use the colour table to give the exact colour - The red used is colour 24I (or in other words, the second-darkest colour in the proper red line). The darker red next to it may seem a more obvious choice, but it makes the clothes look a little TOO red and not that Santa-like.
The white is simply the white from the greyscale - G5 for those who follow the guide letter by letter
CONCLUSION
That, as they say, is all there is to it. Bar getting the resources, making the components and putting them all together. I hope this helps you either this year or next.
There's one thing that a Tailor should do - That's be proud of what they create and in its use. I'm glad that mine already has been done so & appreciated (curtosey of the FarStar Santa ) before I posted this guide, and I hope the same applies to other Tailors on the servers
Thanks to Dharxi, Bar-Bar, & Tel for modelling the outfits on short notice, Alura Ryn for suggesting quite a lot of the Humanoid Male outfit, and Ed'a & Dofe Sifo for acting as Dharxi's make-up for the models on short notice.
