Personally I think Richardii's sheet on it is better... you know about it, Bon, on the RS forums.
Mostly, Kayl's stuff seems to be primarily about moaning about people who do crappy REs.

When this was originally written only the krayt, B wing TIE Opp and KSE were maybe's on using them
I'm listening to seven hours of BIO 103 lectures at the moment, so bear with me for making this brief:
Drain: anything under 1k - these are going into POBs only - you can skimp here. Mass: low 40s, mid 30s. Energy: the higher the better, don't settle for less than 1300. Regen: get one that's 50.x or higher.
Let me be the one to say Kayl should not have been doing these two things at one time. I put a level 10 capacitor into my Rihkxyrk back in April 2005 and never looked back. It was so effective it's not even funny(and that was almost a YEARBEFORE the WO3 fix). Also, 55.0 recharge should be the absolute minimum for such a project.

Should be(also needs some updates, though).

I agree that this needs a lot of updates. As you can see, this is a huge volume of material to check and update.

I've never got my head around RE'ing, and so never done it, but now that I'm drowning in parts (what can I say? I just *hate* throing anything away ), I my have to respec my entertainer into something more useful and start RE'ing - carefully
You can loot L8 shields with higher front or higher back HP than the reward shields. I have one that's 2500 or somewhere around there, but only for one side. Some people have looted the same only for the opposite side. I think mine's for the back HP.
i have read that some time ago. then i have found the "space loot re table" .pdf "by Janann, FarStar" that had a link on spaceloot.com. think thats more useful.
Kayl's original post saved me from the eternal burning of bad re-jobs, thanks for bringing it back. I agree there's room for a lot of updates, perhaps it could be consolidated into a table with updates. Although Kayl's commentary is so much fun, it'd be a shame to lose it all.
This post was essential when it was first composed.

thanks for doing this Comm, I've been a little absent recently and had been using the janaan RE sheet and some notes from Jot's original thread.
I saw there was a reference to another updated sheet from the RS forums - I'm assuming this is the http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/forums/ place? Any ideas as to this updated chart's location if not there? (I'm currently trying to search it out now)
With the demise of Space Loot and Space Tribe's current unavailability for load out checking (this was possibly the most useful thing ever!) I'm a little uncertain of where the current standards and lines should be drawn for RE jobs, quick & dirty to get started and then the long term grinding out part jobs.
Is the post above still accurate and up to date? If so, once again thanks! It is much appreciated that you have taken the time to update what was and still is a truly humungous thread!

I'd say that this post is accurate. I went through just about every paragraph of Kayl's original work to update it. One of the areas that required most updating was the l10 guns section, since the CBGC upped the ante on damage stats.
As for checking projects, it is always a good bet to post the collected stats on the boards and ask for feedback from the pilot community.
