Okay, John. I appreciate your attention to this thread. It has been long overdue. One thing I do want to call you out on is communication. It has not been "great" as you may believe. While your people do have a lot of posts catalogued, if you take a close look at them you will see that Kurt's trademark answer is: I'll look into it and get info to you soon. Once prime example is concerning XP fixes in SWG. That has been for several weeks now, and was repeated, yet again, after the Publish 27.7 quest nerfs. Now, I understand he is the go between guy, so I won't come down on him for this one, but why is it taking weeks to get the information to us? Shouldn't XP fixes, which have been an issue since NGE launch, already be in the pipe? Should there be information for him to get out? That is just one example, I'd be happy to PM you others if you want. But high post counts do not equate to information being put out to the community. "Soon" is no longer cutting it for issues that have been nearly 5 months and on-going. Other things you need to answer to your customers: When NGE launched, we were told here at the forums, and in Stratics Chat, by Kurt and some Developers that by the 6-month mark we would see a complete SWG: NGE and a far, far better game. With that mark approximately 60 days away, here are some questions. . . Point #1: Lack of content. There is no reason to feel compelled to create an ALT, since there is no variation in Legacy Quests, which are, quite frankly, boring as hell the 2nd time around. The mid-game combat levels are reduced to hunting Wookies and Varactyls until you go mind-numb. Hunting and group activities are non-existant due to extremely poor XP development. Question: When can we expect to see CL45-CL70 content, and actual XP fixes? Will it come within the remaining 60 days promised in the beginning? Point #2: Poor development times. The NGE was supposed to make adding content and balances faster. Now we are being told it has been slowed down for quality. Whatever the reason, content and updates are as slow, and bug-ridden (Publish 26 and the late Publish 27) as anything done Pre-NGE. Question: It was proclaimed that NGE would make balances, updates, and new content easier and faster to impliment. Why, then, is it taking just as long, if not longer, than pre-NGE; and is just as buggy upon release? Point #3: Lack of diversity. Anyway, any one character class (they shouldn't even be called "professions" at this point) is the same as every other member of said class. Period. No exception. Boring. Question: Again, with 60 days remaining on the original, hyped 6 months . . . can we expect diversity within 60 days? Point #4 1/3 of the Iconic Professions without a purpose. Crafters/Traders, Entertainers, and Smugglers are without purpose in the game Question: Same as above. 60 days remaining, and yet the publish plan shows a far longer, required time. Why? Point #5 Combat system. No collision detection. Horrible A.I. behavior. Combat, especially PvP, is too fast to enjoy. This game is not more immersive, it is too fast and boring. There is no time to get mentally into a fight, let alone enjoy it for being "Star Wars-y". Question: Collission Detection discussion seems to have vanished. This, again, was said to be implimented by the 6-month mark. Will it be here as promised within 60 days? Point #6: GCW. Galactic . . . Civil . . . WAR. Period. It has been missing since Pre-CU, was 1) advertised as part of the game on the original box, the Total Experience box, and the Starter Kit and is not present in the actual game, and 2) which did exist at one point, and was removed by force by the development team. Question: The Publish Plan puts it further out than your remaining 6 month mark. Why? The bottomline is . . . I see there have been some new SWG Team faces introducing themselves at the forums here and there. Regardless of any supposed turnover in team roster, that boils down to SOE's problem, not the community's. As many know by now, I am a CEO of a Multimedia Entertainment Corporation and have been in the entertainment business for close to 20 years. I know how the business game is played. Is NGE going to be ready, as promised at launch, within the next 60 days? If not, why? And save the marketing hype for the media, tell us why. Otherwise, was the 6-month mark just another SOE attempt at smoke-and-mirrors and spin-control? If not, then convince us. The Community, as the paying base, deserves answers. And don't point me to your "Publish Plan". The plan is the issue, at it disregards the "stick with us, and by the end of the first 6 months you'll see a finished NGE that will be a better experience than SWG has ever been." You got our money for the past 4 months, and that "plan" makes it look like the info in the beginning- at the chats, here, and elsewhere- were lies to get the money. Bottom line where the game will actually be in 60 days; and if you can, convince us to stay and not move on to your competitors. Message Edited by Bosatsu on 03-24-200609:10 PM
