Can we at least get some decent XP going here quick.  Ive seen double xp and such, seems like it would be easy enough to do as your devs have been able to turn it off at will.

I know this is a loaded question, but I think the community deserves an answer.  I know this is one of the things I've been upset about for a while.

Yes it's a loaded question, but I'll answer it. I think people that believe they are paying for a beta quit. Am I happy with the state of the game? No way. Do I think it's entertaining for a lot of people? Yes, or we wouldn't have subscribers. Is it good enough? Not yet.. no.

So no, I don't think people are paying for a beta. Again, I'm sure by the very nature of the question that you'll disagree.. but there it is.

Smed

I would like to respectfully disagree with you.  I myself am one of these people.  I know of many others that feel this way too.  If you don't believe me, do a poll on it.

Thank you Smed for answering some of the questions many folks have had.  Even though I disagree with most that has happened. I commend you all for sticking to your guns.  I however miss the game you folks brought to us 2+ years ago ( I still say, camping out in the middle of no-where on Talus at night was a hoot ) .  For the life of me I cant understand why you would want crazy people like me that had 6 accounts to cancel all but this last account.  Heh,   my wife appriciates the extra cash on our credit cards these days.  Although, I see you are going to try and get something done to the game in its present form, I cannot say that I will re-sub this last account, not so much because of the combat changes, but at the loss of so many great professions.   I've been trying out EQ2 ( I know, its still 15 bucks going to SOE) and find if more fun these days. I am the last of 3 in our guild, on Lowca and finding it very depressing to log in after work. Well, thnaks for the info today.

    come'on, lets see the proof:

"swg poll: what would you like first and formost: combat to be more preNGE like or prof uniqueness"

the reason you need to do this is because everyone wants prof specialization. thats a given. but i think you guys have some false impression that prof specialization will fix the mess'd up combat. and, um... i fail to see the logic in that thinking.

fyi: what i mean by peNGE combat is simply the target lock, and auto attack. MMOFPS's dont work, theres no RPG in it =(

Looks like the cavalry has arrived...

Any chance on of you guys can answer my question on species restrictions on armor? Is it going to be removed or not?

If it's not going to be removed is there any plan to make the species more unique with traits or even abilities like before?

    Thanks.

Is there any chance we can get a graveyard board for the missing/deleted posts?  It would solve two problems.  The information would still be on the boards and no one could accuse anyone of mysteriously disappearing posts.  Read only is your friend

You cannot be serious!  Where do they come up with it?  Have you forgotten your "October Surprise" NGE rollout?  I would consider that a secrete Project considering your told us the CU would be it and that it was here to stay.  I would also consider it a "secrete project" because with the rumor mill started about it you all denied it (Even though it was true).  Of course, I would also consider your CU a surprise as it was not what we were discussing during the Alpha Testing (which, by the way, never tested anything).

I have to say, from most dev posts during the past 6 months, they have a habbit of spinning things to make it sound like we are just whiners. I feel like they come in here sometimes and say "how can you people be so stupid!" Sure, maybe they don't mean it this way, but they need to step back and look at it from our side of the screen.

I outlined this in a previous episode of our podcast - after the first "letters from the producers" failed to stand up to what we expected. The reply from the devs (I use that term to include Smed, TH, and other folks) sorta felt like "what the hell did you think it was going to be?" Yet, for two months these letters were referenced by devs and mods. I remember now, we actually went through the entire listing of posts that lead people to expect more from those letters. You can check it out here: http://swgpodcast.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=58815

To end this post on a happy note, we did get a much more detailed publish plan finally, and while it didn't answer all my questions, it *was* what I was expecting to see in the first place. So kudos for that.
