No flame or sarcasam here. That just appears to be how they're handling this thing from now on. They'll put it to Test Center when its ready for the players to work with. Before, they'd stick to the schedule no matter how big a mess the code was in. No longer the case it seems.

"So what you’re asking is “can a lightsaber block a magic missile?” The answer is no. A magic missile always hits its target. Period. The Jedi would move to block the missile, the missile would move, the Jedi would move to intercept again, the missile would move again, etc. Eventually the Jedi would tire or make a mistake and that’s when the Magic Missile would hit." -- Red Mage

The team is hard at work on Publish 27. It's going to be a little later than we had hoped, but that's because we're trying very hard to leave the publishes up on Test Center longer now to insure higher quality for our patches. We're aware this is one of the big complaints you all have had in the past, and it's something we're trying to fix. There will be interim hot fixes that are going to fix a lot of bugs, but the publish itself is going to be up in a little less than a month. Sorry for the delay, but we're honestly trying to improve the quality level and insure there's adequate time for you all to comment on what you see on TC. I would encourage all of you to go check things out on TC as we put up new versions.

I can't speak for others - but for me that is very good news and I hope you are able to give us time to fully test and fix the bugs on TC, thank you John.

I would be really pumped if you guys could put out a really polished publish with very few defects. Take your time, do it right.

Another month??! Now what does this mean for the subsequent publishes, most notably the entertainer and trader revamps? Are you still on a "roughly one Publish per month" cycle?
Don't get me wrong, I can't really argue with Publishes being polished and only pushed Live when they work. You are right, this IS what a lot of people (me included) have always asked for. This was always one of SOE's largest problems - pushing out code that was bugged to hell and back.
However: the whole NGE is bugged to hell and back right now, because it too has been pushed Live wayyyyy too early. You guys are really in a bad spot here: SWG is a sinking ship, and you'd really need some fast and meaningful fixes to keep even more players from leaving in disgust over the state of the NGE (and I'm not even talking about the NGE design and the combat system here, just about the bugs and issues). On the other hand, doing things right takes time (which you're only finding out right now). Time which you don't really have, because the patience of a lot of people is starting to wear thin.
Yes, a real no-win situation you find yourself in. Just don't expect any sympathy from me, because you brought it on yourself.

Could I buy the Precu server rights from you?
So I can make tons of money while you guys earn barley nothing on this NGE game?

While ensuring higher quality for patches is important, equally important is to actually implement the necessary items into large changes to the game before sending them to Test Center.
The NGE has no content for Entertainers or Traders, and at this rate will not for at least two more months.
I'm curious why you, John Smedley, think that I should pay the monthly fee in the meantime for a game that does not consider my playstyle a valid one in terms of support, gameplay experience, and general worth.
Especially since the only quest reward we currently have (scrolls to learn a new dance and song) have been unable to be used since the NGE, despite numerous bug reports detailing the exact problem (the wrong experience type is being asked for).
