As Some of you may be aware of The CSR team is doing a tremendous revamp of the Knowledge Base..  And from what I have seen they are doing a great Job at it to..   Please Take some time and look through the changes..  Especially in regards to the Jedi Profession..  And respond here with any Feedback that you may feel will Help.   Both on the sections concerning Architect and the whole Knowledge Base Alltogether..

Here are some ways to access this info..

Open your Holocron (CTL H with the default keymap)

Locate and click on the Customer Service button

You are now presented with the Knowledge Base. You can either search by question or by a specific KB entry ID (if you know one. I suggest looking at soe8306)

Search the Knowledge Base periodically as you have a spare moment. Focus on your area of expertise but feel free to let us know about any other issues/missing information on any search you perform.

Thank you for kicking off this post ArjunThakur. The Knowledge Base in game is quickly growing to cover more and more topics and provide the most accurate information possible. On a daily basis entries are published to the Knowledge Base and any errors that are located are fixed and published.fficeffice" />

The exciting thing about the Knowledge Base is that the response time for the entries can be so swift. If you locate an error in the Knowledge Base and bring it to your correspondent we can fix it and have the corrected version in game within hours or even minutes of receiving that information. Any gaps in the Knowledge Base can also be quickly filled.

I’ve asked your correspondent to start a thread like this for two reasons. First the Knowledge Base is very important to us, but right now it is under utilized. I’m working with the Correspondents and the Developers to increase awareness for the Knowledge Base. Soon we’ll be changing some things in game to make the Knowledge Base a lot more visible.

That brings me to my second reason for coming to you – information that is as complete and accurate as possible. When the Knowledge Base becomes more prominent it will be vital for it to be as complete and accurate as possible. We have been working internally and with the Correspondent program to comb the Knowledge Base and add new entries. We would really appreciate it if you could point out anything that you find to be in error, out dated, or simply missing. If you think a question needs to be asked that’s not here please post it, or send it directly to your correspondent. We’ll work to get as many into the Knowledge Base as we can.

Thank you for your support and we really hope that you find the Knowledge Base to be a useful source of information. Please keep in mind that the Knowledge Base is intended to provide information about systems and policies but will not provide direct spoilers.

For quick answers to many game play questions, you may want to first reference the knowledge base located in the Holocron Menu. You can do so by selecting the customer service option and then using the knowledge base tab. We have recently added hundreds of new FAQs and answers and more will be added more daily, so give it a try!

CSRDavidF:

I was wondering if you could address why a couple of jedi have lost lives even after having thier deaths decay to below the skill loss zone?

Fron what I read, I understand that as long as you do not hit death number 6 (at initiate) then you are fine. But a couple of jedi have gotten to death number 5 lets say, decayed down to 2, died again, and loss a skill.

Please take some time to post a clarification Thanks in advance

How about some answers to age old questions.

  • Do jedi get to use their lots?
    • Will they be banned if the /transferstructure is used to give them a house?
  • Can Sabers be sliced
    • Will they be banned for having a sliced saber?
  • What is Jedi Visibility?
    • What gives it to us?
    • Does it decay?
    • Does it reset when we die?

These are questions that are always asked, and debated, and people had said that CSR's have told them confilcting answers.

Take the new death system for example. Even though the wording is incorrect it gave us all a place to look, and resd the "official" wording. We would probably still be arguing about it if not for having this entry in the KB.

I know more about Jedi Visibility then most, I've experimented on this with my Jedi for a Friend who needed to gain a little exp.   This is what I have learned.

Jedi will get Visible on the Bounty Hunter Terminal if he uses Force Powers in front of Non-Jedi.   Force powers as in Heal Health, Action, Mind, Fatigue and powers like Force Knockdown and the other Force Manipulation powers.   The Jedi has to do it enough times in a Certain time period in front of the non-jedi to make him appear, Average time, 20 minutes.  The time frame has Flux'ed but this was mainly more non-jedi the quicker it goes.

1 person = 30+ minutes...  2 people = 20-25 minutes...  3+ people 13+ minutes.

My Tests basically span for 3 hours testing 6 times.

The Jedi will go off the Bounty Hunter terminals if the Jedi Dies.

If someone had gotten the mission before the Jedi dies, the Mission will stay in their datapad. (*This is a Belief, but not sure yet, Didn't have a second bounty Hunter helping*).

On slicing Lightsabers, I'm believing it is a possible Banning offence, but Can't be sure.  Since the DEV's made it Almost Impossible (*I"m saying Almost, cause a Jedi can Still transfer a Lightsaber, but I wont mention how*) to trade the lightsaber, I dont think they want it changed.

Garva came in and said that slicing sabers was indeed an exploit, though he chose to do it via a comparison (that was clear as hell to me, but caused nitpicky verbage lawyers to complain and moan about no simple yes/no as usual). Putting it in the knowledge base in unambiguous form will no doubt cause complaints from those who think getting around the billion ways to get a 'this is a non-transferable item' messages is perfectly legal, but will make it abundantly clear for everyone that it's not.
