- Master Swordsman - Medic xx4x - Buffs (2000+) - brandy - stim packs (i use 1200 40 med use) - Power hammer (around 170-600 at least) - High-kenetic defence armor (i use cheap 80% kenetic, 71% base composit)
Checklist (optional items)
- Mind buffs - Def vs Dizzy/Knockdown food - 16% max melee pups (around 10 per krayt)
- Guide -
[Juvenile krayts]
Nothing to worry about at all. 40k ham usually. Dont even need to add your pups to your hammer. just headhit3 till it falls down. simple Less than a minute to kill
[Canyon Krayts]
Again, nothing much to fear. 350k-410k ham usually. These like to do stun, which doesnt bother me to much. Keep it intimidated and use mindhit2 a couple of times to bleed it, then away you go with headhit3. Pups are nice on your hammer, as it wont take as long to kill it, which is always nice. Obviously heal yourself when needed, but you shouldnt have too much to fear. 10-20 minutes to kill
[Giant Canyon Krayts]
This is where it gets a bit annoying. And sometimes could be fatal. 390k-450k ham usually. You HAVE to keep these intimidated, as if you get dizzy/knockdowned (which giant canyons loves to do) and they arnt intimidated, yyou'll get a big chunk of you taken out. Again, pups are nice for the quickness, as it can take some time to kill due to all the dizzy knockdowning you will be submitted to. Brandy or mind buffs are needed, but not both. 25-40 minutes to kill
*edit* after testing myself, dizzy vs knockdown food is really a must for solo'ing these. If not for making sure you dont die, and making it quicker. For saving your krayt from someone or some people attacking it and running off with it
There we go, NOTHING amazing, but i hope this helps some people if they were unsure on anything.

Well, even with 95 natural defense vs. KD, these things knock me down. However, if you keep your head, don't spem the stand button, they'll usually try and KD you again, which pops you straight back up again, even if you are dizzy.
yeah the giants are a pain with the KD/dizzy then they run off after my rifleman friend and incap him fairly quick if they would just stay on me while im kdéd it would be ok.
I follow many of the same rules, but I've noticed that bleeds from mind hit only bleed for -1 on canyons and above, so I just save the time and just head hit until dead.
Just don't forget your thakitillo if solo-ing giant krayts. Will keep you off your back and on your feet while fighting. Otherwise those dizzy knockdowns will make it take *forever* to kill one.
Was this for people that are capped? Time taken to kill also depends on the sword damage. Anyway I'm not speed capped with a 700 something max ph so first I hit them with a 120mind poison Janta knife then switch to Swords do a few mind hits then spam the headhit3's of course using intimidate2 every few minutes. I stay away from the Giants though since they'd take forever for me to solo.
I don't think it's worth saying anything about ancients. I have a 744 damage powerhammer and it would take me over 2 hours to kill an ancient, what with them having such high resists and landing every state in the book on you... Giants and ancients are really annoying with their KD. I've taken thakitillo to help and that gave me 170 defence vs. KD and I still got knocked down all the time.
Is an acklay hammer needed for soloing giant canyons? I found one popped a thatkilo and intimited it mind bleed and started hacking away with head hit 3 with a 620 max damage normal hammer that was damage sliced and was doeing anything. After ten minutes it could do much to me at all and I healed anything it did but I had only taken off about 20k of ham. Is there away to get around this?

"I am a Swordsman, the other 32 professions can kiss my a$$."
Ancient Krayts require one of a few things to get rid of them quickly.. a big team consisting of tanks (preferably swordsmen with high dmg PHs and high def vs KD/Dizzy) CM's with nasty health poisons/diseases, Commandos with high dmg Flamers and Riflemen with high damage T21's.. poison/disease/fire/strafe2/2handhit3
The other option is of course, Lightsaber Master Jedi supported by Tanks.. Sadly, Ancients weren't designed to be solo'd i don't think, at least by Swordsmen... It'd take a solo swordsman without an absolutely amazing PH (Such as a Legendary one with 800-2200 dmg and a 600 tick mindpoison for example ) hours upon hours to kill an Ancient.. simple as that
Nice guide for anyone looking to start Krayt hunting though, very nice 5 *'s
