Good post.
 
I just have a couple questions:
 
On the Flame Thrower, my tool says I can experiment to 76%. This is beyond your stated max of 70.0%
 
Also, I can get 86.8% Experientation on the LVA, where your max states 85.34%
 
I have triple-checked my resources on these items, and they are correctly entered.
 
Everything else looks great. How did you do this? Simply put dummy resources in JnF's tool with stats at the caps?

Actually never thought about using dummy resources would have been easier than calculating by hand

I used formlas for the red marked weapons that someone posted. Apparently noone know for 100% sure how to calculate weapons/components that have resources for only one of the required stats (ie Flamethrowers, etc.)

If anyone can give me a for sure 100% positive way to calculate these?

Post the resource caps you are using and which schematics.

Total units fo OQ= 243
 
(130x650+70x500+15x1000)/215=62.56%
(130x1000+70x1000+15x1000+28x1000)/243=100%
(62.5%+100%)/2=81.28%max

I wrote a rather lengthy explanation of the inner workings of crafting after a discussion that originated on a board called "The amazon basin" (I lost the link unfortunately, but I basically summed up that discussion) on the architect forums, maybe it can be of some use if someone is confused about something (or maybe you will just be more confused).
 
Well anyways, as I spent a few mins on writing it up (and countless hours testing crafting), it would be a shame to not plug it here some more:
 
It focuses mainly on crafting stations and their subcomps, but the principle is the same for all crafting.

I'm a pvp'er but I'm getting into crafting.  Gonna make my alt master WS/smuggler.  I guess these numbers are the best % of experimenation using the best possible resources?

Correct.  Translating these into hard numbers is somewhat difficult, but these are the theoretical maxes that can be obtained on each item due to resource caps.   They should at least give you a ballpark idea of how your stuff will stack up to "the best" with the resources you have.

Right these are the max % in experiment that anyone will ever get with "perfect" resources. Now after saying that the stats may not change on some items if you are within a few % of these maxes. So even though you may not have "perfect" rresources your weapon or component may already be at the max stats it will ever get.

If I ever get ambitious enough I MAY try to figure out the maximum stats for each of these but don't hold your breath

on sunrunner, achieved 87.28% on an LVA. 380dmg max.
